I was told it was a confidence things and you do it when you feel you can. If you try and do it straight away with everything else that is new you are more likely to give up. Although this isn't definite it just means that you don't put added pressure on yourself.

Afm - was wrecked after sweep so had a nap for an hour and was feeling quite cramps and achy. Have had nothing since - just the normal braxton hicks - nothing different and no show at all

I think at this point it makes sense to induce, not what you wanted im sure but I had a very positive experience for my 2nd induction and im sure that is because I stayed in control. First time round I questioned nothing and lay like a lump of meat in my bed, with my 2nd I was active and fully informed and it was a really enjoyable labour, heres hoping yours will be the same !

I hope your 2nd opinion tomorrow gives you some good options.

Ikkle glad things got better for you, what on earth was your hubby thinking getting white knickers :eek: he is in for a big shock i think :rotfl:

My husband is getting a little freaked out by how many of you near my due date that are meeting your babes already :rotfl: so HUGE thanks to you guys as the nursery is now painted :T:T:j:j still a ton of junk we are playing pass the parcel with but I can now at least see the progress !

Just wanted to pop my head in as have been just about managing to keep on top of you all for the last few days.

Kitten_Pie I've been thinking of you and your OH and like someone said earlier you have a lot of people of you. Glad that all tests are ok so far and that you will have your OH with you. I guess with you being so close to 37 weeks then an early induction sounds sensible- but than I'm not a medic. Look after yourself and please don't worry about any needyness on here.

ikkle your day sounded like hell, so glad things are looking better and you don't have to go back to the other hospital.

AFM we had a 28 week growth scan today, all perfectly average which is great. Everything is going fine apart from hip pain and a bit of back pain etc bt I know it is nothing compared to what some of you are having to deal with. Oh and I'm not sure if I am happy or scared that my pace down the list is now accelerating! x

Good luck today Kitten. I was going to say yesterday wouldn't she be better out rather than in but that would've sounded so naive. Surely she will be easier to monitor when she's here and if there is a problem then she is in the best place. Hopefully all is ok and she's a chunky monkey.

Massive labour vibes to you again RJH (and all other boldies), surely little man is cooked enough now. Come out please!

I'm awake early with the usual hip pain. Off out for a pub lunch today and the finally my parents are home this evening. Can't wait! Oh and also have 38 week MW appt later so hopefully all will go well there.

Maddie that's great that the growth scan went well Someone on here needed to have a good, worry free scan.

I'm off to my next growth scan and monitoring this morning, so hoping for good news. I'm actually feeling reasonably positive as my bump has been looking bigger and feeling heavier over the last week. I hope it means that she is growing nicely again now and just had a slow couple of weeks before (or I suppose it could just mean that I'm getting really fat )
