Another potential queue jumper - had my growth scan and am being admitted for possible induction in next couple of days :( NOT happy.

Massive hugs hun, hope everything goes ok for you. Just think of the cuddles with bubs to get you through. I know how horrible it is when you have an idea in your head of how things will/should go and then it all gets chucked out of the window.

Congrats to the new mummies and big hugs to those who's babies are being naughty. I have nothing much in particular to say, nothing much is happening with me. I don't have midwife until Tuesday. I'm very VERY tired though and quite achy and sore. Not to mention feeling battered, my little man will NOT sit still for 2 minutes.

Anyone know where you can buy touch and feel books at a good price (other than ebay)?

Glad everything was fine with baby ikkle. I bet it was lovely to see a strong heartbeat after yesterday. Let's hope he starts behaving for you and moves like crazy every day.

Kitten - that's great that the results are coming back negative.

NBirdy hugs. At least you know baby is safe and you're being looked after properly. Good luck.

Usborne ones are brilliant, the 'thats not my ...' range are superb - Amazon prices fluctuate alot on these and they sometimes drop to just £2.xx, and the marketplace is always worth a look.

Other sellers to try are The book people buy in bulk and use discount codes, or sometimes The book depository but a quick look shows they arent great atm.

    AFM,

Day from hell today, so miserable - head hurts, feel like I have flu and so much pain in my groin atm its untrue ! Just stuffed my face with chinese and watching baby programmes then off to sulk in my bed I think !

Yep, I cried even more. I know that we heard the heartbeat again last night on the CTG but I think I lost all confidence in that hospital and so to have a member of staff I trust in a hospital I trust tell me he was ok just blew me over and I just broke down again. Just hoping I manage to sleep tonight as I can't seem to shut off and I still keep panicking that his heartbeat is going to disappear. He better bloody behave I don't think I can take it if he doesn't.

Just counting on the anesthetist now. I know a c-section is hard work but they removed my right ovary and tube in the same way they would a c-section (it actually looks like I've had one) so I'm hoping that goes in my favour.

OH went and bought some lollies for my hospital bag and a couple of vest tops for me, he's also bought me some comfy knickers but they are white so I might have to dye them dark blue or black or something lol x

  • Congrats divorcingjack and good luck NBirdy!
rj - I hope bubs makes an appearance before Tuesday!
That's great news about the test Kitten. I know this may sound horrible (it's not meant to though) but I'm glad your hubby is there with you. It's nice to have someone supportive around and he sounds lovely!
I'm glad your appointment went ok ikkle. I really hope bubs behaves and you're able to feel him loads.
I hope you feel better soon mishka.
Thanks for the info on wipes and nappies. I think we may have got too many nappies and I only have pampers and huggies! Oops. Only bought them because they were free or on offer so it won't be too bad if I need to pass them on though. I'm still hoping DH will agree to reusable nappies at some point. He's agreed to cheeky wipes so that's a start;)
Gilly- how old was your lo when you switched to reusables? I was thinking of switching once we don't need to change baby 10 times a day (whenever that is...).

4 months Bikeless Chick :) I probably could have done the move about 2 and a half months I think. I just didn't have the confidence to do it :o

Ikkle I am glad it went well, and the relief you must have felt when you heard the heartbeat with someone you trusted.

Hopefully all will go well from here and you will get to labour as close as you can to what you want.

Miska If baby likes Chinese baby shall get Chinese :D

AFM: OH spoke to midwife about our concerns and going through all the tests, we are going in tomorrow to get a second opinion from another consultant and to discuss options of possible induction even though it is early) 36+4

I was hoping to put off induction as long as possible to avoid complications but with the anxiety we are both feeling and the additional complications with a natural birth I think we need to get her out while she is still alive. Our midwife and Counsellor both support us on this decision just need to see if the Consultant will agree too.
