LMM congrats to you, beautiful picture and a lovely name. I admit it, I am jealous now, lol! x
LittleMoog turtlemoose beat me to it - I've got 3 weeks annual leave to use up which I am starting from next Tuesday, but by law maternity pay has to start from when baby is born so if baby comes along within those three weeks, the annual leave will stop and maternity pay start instead. however, if I don't return to work and use up my annual leave by the time the holiday allowance starts again I won't lose those days as they have to carry them over to the following year. If I then decided not to return to work, they would have to pay me for those days.
had a yummy sandwich for lunch and now really want another one! LO has just been doing some great judo style kicks quote high up; I got on all fours last night to trya nd get him to turn a bit so I am hoping next week midwife will tell me that it has worked (although iw ill keep doing it for the next few nights as well!) Tired today, work is very busy and I am starting to wonder how I will get everything finished in the next couple of days! X0 -

And our aqua babies is £48 for 11 sessions - I only know the exact figure cos we've just had to pay it! We've got a long waiting list for sessions though - we got on the list when she was 2 months old and will only be starting when she's 5 months.
Wow that is such a good price!!!:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -

Yeah that is a good price. Think mines about £120 for 10 lessons. I'm happy to pay for it though because both DH and I were rubbish swimmers until late on in childhood. And I just think it's so important. Plus it will give me confidence in how to handle a baby in a pool - sounds simple but I've no confidence about doing it. So after attending these sessions I'm sure I'll be happy taking him alone, as opposed to putting it off until he's bigger.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

The swimming thing's important to us in that both sets of our parents live by either rivers or lakes (mine are on a riverbank, his live on the side of a loch) so we really need to make sure there's a lot of water confidence there.
Having said that - last time we took her swimming - she just fell asleep in the pool!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Ha ha ha dizzi. At least she feels safe and confident in the pool.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

AFM I just wanted to ask about iron tablets, are they for my benefit or babys? I am very naughty and was given them two weeks ago and haven't started taking them yet, and I'm very concious that midwife on Friday will tell me off.
Re boobs- I have implants already and they've grown a lot, my nipples are massive and REALLY sensitive but I haven't had any leakage yet- I really want to breastfeed but I'm worried I might not be able to.
I am no medical professional, but I believe the iron tablets are for you, as you feel pretty ropey if you get anaemic. Mine didn't agree with me, and my midwife wanted to send me for an iron infusion instead, but I refused. After some googling I decided my iron wasn't that low, and that it was a common thing at that point in pregnancy. They tried to tell me I'd got more chance of a major bleed, but in fact I didn't bleed that much at all, and felt fine after birth. I had a natural third stage which may have helped. Of course everyone is different, and your iron may be lower than mine was.
As for breastfeeding, I didn't leak a drop beforehand, and am still feeding months later. Don't worry before you have cause to
Congrats LMM!0 -
"How much is it going to be? Its about £120 for 9 sessions round here…"
Check at your local Surestart childrens centre if you have one (we have at least 4 in Worcester!). I got a block of 10 Waterbabies sessions for a £15 reduced rate (not income related or anything, first come basis) I just signed up for the waiting list and got a letter saying when it was happening.
T'was a bargain, even though it clashed with me returning to work.0 -

dizsiebubba - prices here are about £13 for waterbabies. I've just realised this is only for 30 minutes though:eek: is this standard?
Thanks for the tip on surestart lizzie. Will look for a local one here...
Jenjen thanks for letting us know about the deal. I've set up an email alert so fingers crossed.
LMM - Congrats! He's gorgeous! I hope you're both well
Re: iron tablets. I too am pretty sure they are for us. Baby will probably be ok as they take priority over nutrients...:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0
