LMM best of luck!
Kitten, how far are you now? I hope you're doing ok and get some answers soon.
Good luck today RJH.0 -
LMM Noooooo! How dare you queue jump - we're in this together! Lol, no seriously good luck hun, hope all is going well and like others have said it's good that you are getting the right care. Can't wait to hear your next update! Hugs! xxx
Kitten You've got nothing to apologise for, it's perfectly understandable that you are concerned but hopefully you are getting plenty of reassurance from this forum and from your midwife. We are all here for you hun, and we have all needed a lift at one time or another so you keep your posts coming and let us know how you are getting on.
LadyM I was about a 34B pre-pregnancy (well, kind of inbetween 34A - 34B) and my boobs grew in the first trimester to 34D. People commented on the increase at the time, but now they just seem very small - not sure if that's cos there's such a big round bump underneath! I have heard that they do get bigger when your milk comes in, and I've arranged an appt to get fitted for nursing bras next week at 38 weeks so we'll see what they say then. Think my OH would love my boobs to hang around after baby is born, and I would love it if they stayed the size they are now, but have a felling that once I start training again they will shrink away (Boo!)
Taking my time getting ready for work; only have three days left now so not going to rush in! Will only be going in half an hour late or so, so not taking the michael or anything. Just had very broken sleep last night and woke up a bit late so rather than rush round and worry about making it in for half-eight I have decided to just go with the flow!
Can't believe I am 37 weeks today! Hugs to all and labour vibes to all that need them (especially RJH! xxx0 -
ikkle - are you ok? I flicked past the craft group and just wondered. I know you've got your scan and consultant today so good luck, hope you get some definite plans settled on.
When I was first posting on the craft group everything was fine hun, had been taken in with some pains, a bit of a snotty show but not felt bubs move. They hooked me up to a CTG and monitored babies heartbeat and were just waiting on movements when I was posting on the group.
Then they lost the heartbeat and even though they kept trying to move the pads etc they couldn't pick it back up. They tried all sorts of different positions and still couldn't pick it up, a couple of different midwives in the MAC tried and nothing, and I still wasn't feeling movements, so they bleeped a doctor to come and scan me, he was in theatre but eventually arrived did the scan and said he couldn't confirm there was a heartbeat either he was going to get his senior and discuss options, cue me having a breakdown crying and shaking and the midwife telling me that I might have to have a c-section and me begging her to help the baby. Senior doctor came, decided to rescan me and managed to find a heartbeat on the scan and then get the CTG up and running again - I have never been so relieved and happy in my life, think my whole body went in to shock, OH was crying I was just a mess.
They did the CTG for a while and I had a few movements, his heartbeat on the earlier CTG and this one was spot on and they were really happy with it and said because I have the consultant this morning at my normal hospital I could go home. (My normal hospital was full last night so got sent to a different one which I am never going to ever ever again!)
Before I could go they wanted to do an examination of my cervix because of the snot from earlier. Even though it says on my notes I have SPD they had me spread my legs so my knees were flat on the bed, first doctor couldn't do it so they had to get another doctor so was left with my legs akimbo and unable to move. Finally did my examination said my cervix is still closed and looks ok so they let me come home.
We are ok though, although I'm now super paranoid about movements. I've hardly slept because every time I do I keep dreaming of them not being able to find a heartbeat. When I wasn't dreaming I was in pain and this morning through being laid on my back for hours and having my legs spread so far I can't hardly move.
Consultant is at 10:40 and I'm not leaving till I have answers, I'm not going through another night like last night again. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hugs Kitten and Ikkle! Kitten, I hope they figure out what's going on soon for you and Ikkle glad they found his heartbeat for you after all that...0

MMM I can't believe what a trouper you are - still working! I finished at 36 weeks which was knackering enough! Now I'm at 38 weeks and I can't even wash or dry up without having to sit down!
We have family over for lunch today and poor hubby is having to deep clean the house. I just can't do it. My back has been killing me for the last 2 days and I am just generally feel exhausted. Surely it must be baby time now!0 -
Gosh ikkle just read your post. How awful. Good luck with the consultant today.0

Hugs ikkle, what an awful experience, no wonder you never want to go back there. I can't imagine how terrified you must have been when they couldn't find the heartbeat, so glad all was ok in the end. At least you are seeing the consultant this morning so you don't have to sit worrying all day before going in. Good luck again.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800

Wow Ikkle what a nightmare experience! I don't want to imagine how terrifying that must have been. Hope baby gets some good wriggles going to help put your mind at rest a little.
Kitten Pie I hope you get some reassuring answers/results soon.
LMM good luck!
RJH super-cervix ripening vibes for you! Were you overdue with dd? Both my dds were early (36+ due to pre-e, and 39+ so only a tiny bit early) and I must admit I'm concerned about these lazy boys taking their time!0 -
