LM my maternity consultant said to go to my GP as normal about everything, unless it's related to pre-eclampsia signs, lack of movements from baby or bleeding.

    Thanks Twinklie.

I wasn't given any advice about going to my GP as normal so wasn't sure.:o

The toys are out so we are ready to go. The rest I can play with much later as she won't be going in there til 3 months+ (In theory).

Someone was talking to me about sterilisers telling me I'd need one if I breast or bottle fed - I was blissfully unawares that I'd need one until further down the line.

    Hi moneypenny

I had a micorwave sterliser box included in the Tommee Tippee breastfeeding kit I bought. I found it very useful as you need to sterilse the breast pump section as well as little pots for storing expressed milk and bottles if you give expressed milk. It may be worth looking into one that is included as part of a kit if you are planning to breastfeed - I bought mine new on ebay for less than half the retail price :) I now have an electric steriliser which was £40 but worth every penny as can do 6 bottles at time :)

    Rebekah - I bought this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-Aid-First-Kit/dp/B002LWJQ4G/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1342300588&sr=1-1
    Blurb from website:
"The kit includes plasters, bandages, dressings and tape, Burnshield, eye/wound wash, blunt first aid scissors, cleansing wipes, large hypoallergenic elbow/kness plasters, alcohol-free wipes, a guide of what to do and best of all, some bravery stickers for the wounded soldier! This first aid kit is small enough to fit neatly into changing bags, handbags etc." I also have infacol and capol ready stocked in bathroom cabinet :)

Not long to go now for you my lovely! How are you feeling? Hope you are managing to get some rest this weekend xxxx

With pelvic pain, at which point do you tell your midwife? I told her at my last appointment and she said that it's all my muscles moving but the pain is excruciating in my hips, back of hips and I have shooting pains down my legs but I don't feel like she'd listen to me if I told her anyway. :(
Urgh yuck! Do core muscle exercises. It won't cure it per say but it will help to reduce it. The hip pain at night I never got rid of and still have now. But if I missed out a day or 2 then I did notice the pain got worse. Took a week or 2 for it begin to help.

    * lie on left side with knees bent- lift right leg up so legs are parted (high doesnt matter) hold for 5 seconds - lower slowley to bring legs back together - rest for 5 seconds - repeat x 5 (feel free to increase to 10 or more when u feel like it)

    * repeat above for the other side

    * lie on back! (I know know they tell u not to but these were physio's instructions!) Lie with knees bent and tilt pelvis up to your chest as it were so that back flattens on the bed - hold for 5 - release - rest for 5 seconds - repeat x 5 - again up to 10 or more later if u want

    * still on back ... with legs bent arms by side - lift bottom off the bed up in the air - hold for 5 - slowly lower again - rest for 5 - same as others - repeated x 5 blah blah. (Just before you lift bum pull in pelvic floor muscles - then pull in stomach musles - then lift)

    * lastly ... sit on edge of bed/on chair ... place ball between legs - squeeze so you feel outer thighs working - hold for 5 - slowley release - rest for 5 - again all x 5+.

Hope some of that makes some sense ... i'm use less at explaining!!!

    rebekah,

have you got one of those mucus remover things ? like this

We used ours when baby caught a cold at a few weeks old, if you have to have a c-section you might find they are a bit mucus -ey to start with ??

anbesol, Gripe water is meant to be good - it only lasts 2 weeks once open though, also you could look into a dummy that gives medication or the small syringes x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hi hope I did that right, I am due 22nd August, did post on less than 12 weeks but havent posted for ages as been busy with work and preparing for baby. We did find out the sex but keeping it a secret from most people !! Hi everyone hope you are not suffering too much and enjoying your pregnancies.

Mine hasnt been bad overall - worst things at mo - piles and swollen feet/ankles and extra weight. 3rd trim does feel harder.
Student Mrs - how are you ? Hope you are well and baby too.
    Hugs to all xx :j

Hi Due date buddy, good to see you!! I thought we were missing some August bubs! Im intrigued to know if we are having same sex too, but as I keep telling people I'm not going to trust the sonographer til it comes out as a boy, I wouldn't trust!

I'm good, much bigger bump than when I thought I'd never get one, we are moved so slowly arranging nursery and just generally wondering if we are ready for this! Also finding 3rd trimester harder, bump seems a lot more uncomfortable and this last week, hard a lot of the time.

I need to go to bed so will catch up properly tomorrow, but we have chosen a nursery and reserved a place for little man, eek! was going to PM you RJ, but hubby has an annoying habit of going for one of the first things we see...! I think it is right for us, I hope so. And fluff, Freddie is beautiful! Love that he is a waitrose baby already.

(((hugs))) and vibes where appropriate!! xx
