  • LMM you are so good having a banana to hand! I resorted to penguin biscuits again, very satisfying! Lol. Eddie did the trick - he relaxed me and I managed to get some (broken) sleep. Yes, think work are being an @ss now, to be fair to my boss he has been very understanding and supportive so would like to think yesterday was him just not thinking but there are other people that could have stepped up and done what they were actually supposed to do!

Bikelesschick yeah, we are going to go for a little while and then come back so at least we will have put in a show. The wedding is not til 5pm (think we are all meeting an hour beforehand) so I can try and rest up during the day and maybe even have a nap but early evening is usually when I start to flag! I know it's only a couple of hours, so will try and grin and bear it. Just can't bear the though of having to make a effort and get dressed up when I have never felt more uncomfortable or less glamourous in my life!

Bellola were you asking about tens machines? I need to hire one too. I am planning to get into the birthing pool at some point (think it's from 4cm dilated) as this can then help speed up labour but I'd like a tens machine for before that. Going to get one from https://www.babydolly.co.uk - they are only in Hinckley which is just a few mins away from me and they also do nursing bras so going to go across and get measured at some point.

Daft tabby is doing his jedi mind trick again, he wants feeding and always knows how to make me feel guilty!

    Morning,

Sounds like a few of you had a really bad nights sleep. Hope you manage to get some naps in during the day.

I wouldn't feel too guilty sticking her in front of the tv rjh. The TV/DSi/Wii have been good friends to me these school holidays. I'm normally one of those parents that hates it when kids are just left in front of electronic gadgets a lot of the time, but I've needed them this summer. I'm just not able to do all the day trips/activities I normally would, but I figure its only one summer out of the kids whole lives, so shouldn't do them any lasting harm!

LMM - not sure with the BH's. Mine are all tightening around my bump and it can be hard to breathe properly when they get quite intense. Maybe they are different for different people?

MMM - maybe when you get there you'll enjoy the wedding? If not I'm sure being heavily pregnant counts as a very good excuse for leaving after a little while. I find it hard to find an outfit just for popping to the shops, so I'm not surprised you don't feel like going to all the effort of getting ready for a wedding.

I want to get to Hobbycraft this afternoon and pick up some crafty bits. I've had nothing to make or stitch all week and it's driving me mad. Just hoping I can persuade DH to drive me the 30 mins to get there!

    Morning all!

Another one that didn't sleep properly here. Our bedroom is at the front of the house nearest the road, so with the window open at the moment I hear everything and one of our neighbours works nights and comes in at 3.30am. Was woken by this, then 2 hours later, the cat knocked on the front door, then 2 hours after that, Moon got up to get ready for work. Woke up on and off throughout the night too with backache and cos I was so hot. Think I'm going to buy a fan today as I'm fed up with the constant mugginess in the bedroom. Will need to do some dusting before using it though as I've let things slip a bit in the bedroom as no-one sees it. :o

Hugs to all who need or want them and labour vibes where appropriate.

Maybe some of you LL can help me :-)

I am really confused about baby 'dropping' I woke up last week and he felt like he had dropped...OH said I had gone from 'Apple to pear' shaped but as I am sitting here writing I have a bum bump right in my ribs.... but when lying down he feels alot lower....

So do you think he has either dropped and comes back up and down as he pleases? Or is it because I am sitting down that the baby obvouisly just comes up to my ribs cause thats just how he fits?

Someone said if he is 2-3inchs below your boobs he has dropped...which he is if I am lying down just about.

39 + 1 atm sorry for being a pain lol

:rotfl:We have a glass panel at the bottom of our front door and he whacks 3 times in a row with his front paw. He didn't get a response the first 2 times, so he tried again and I gave in. He's a spoilt baby really and he knows just how to manipulate me.

    It took me ages.

Just add 2 Body shop cards (cost tenner) and then your free shampoo or cond (Go on Whats hot>free gift)

Then add any other two products for free

    Total cost = £12.99

Edit: oh and make sure you add the promtionl code in...its at top page on banner not allowed to post what it is for some reason :-)

Im sorry many of you can not sleep at night, just know it is completely normal and just your body preparing you for what is to come. I realized i could not sleep at night and was grumpy the last weeks but once DD was born, it was around the same time she needed a feed.

Thank you for the bra suggestions... i will be ordering some, also does anyone use/used a maternity support belly band ? I really want to order one, my bits are stretching and i am in pain (16 wks).
