Can't bloody sleep again. There nights ins. Row going to bed at half eleven or so and just can't drift off. Just want my wee man to come so at least
    I'm
Awake for a reason lol. ;)
love you lots like jelly tots :o
  • Hope you've managed to get some sleep now RJH Like you unsaid if you were awake with bubba at least it would be a reason to be awake. Still enjoy the peacefulness while you still can.
Ikkle lol at the tens machine in the water, can imagine that would be one big incident report if the woman had gone up in smoke!
Dizzi your comment on the name Niall made me giggle. A while back we said James was a nice name. I suggested Martin as a middle name. OH did ponder a bit before realising what I was up to ;) lol.

I'm also awake :( resisted coming on here for the past couple of hours as then I know I won't sleep I'll be noseying around. These splints are rubbing/itching my hands  will have to find some light tubigrip type stuff later to go under them.

Hope everyone has managed a half decent nights rest. I've heard from my main news source aka Facebook that's it's going to be a scorcher this weekend :( I may hibernate in my fridge!

Well I had two hours słeep. Now hungry but not sure wether to hae something or just stick at trying to sleep.

Surprised you are to wear your splints during night too him normally you told to take them off. I had to wear tubing rip under mine hen I had my bad wrist as it was very uncomfortable. Just make sure u loosen them a bit to make up for the extra support.

Is meant to be ht here too but I think more rain predicted. I only have one skirt and one top that I fit into now so been trying to avoid getting dressed but I need to leave the house at some stage lol. Hope it doesn't get too hot. I'm enjoying the slight coolness here at nights. Makes it SLIGHTLY easier to sleep lol
love you lots like jelly tots :o
  • Jedi many congrats to you hun!

RJH & LMM This insomnia thing is starting to get me down now! I am regularly waking four or five times in the night and it is taking me longer each time to get back to sleep. I am so tired now, but when I was lying in bed my eyes just kept popping open and I juts couldn't doze back off.

Feel like poo, starting to think OH is right about finishing work that bit early. Had work on the phone between 4 - 5pm yesterday changing a load of decisions last minute and expecting me to implement them and get a job ready to start first thing on Monday! I'm not even meant to be the PM for it, another bloke is so why they didn't get him to it - especially as he was in the office - is beyond me!

Got a wedding to go to today and neither OH or I want to go. I just wan to stop in the whole weekend and rest up, whilst OH wants to get things finished round the house - all major stuff now complete (yay!) just lots of tidying up and odds and sods to do. We mentioned to his family that we might not go a few weeks ago and got a whole load of negativity about it - so pleased that they are understanding of the fact that I am on three-and-a-half weeks off my due date! To be fair, his Dad, brother and sisters are great, it's more his nan and extended family that just don't get it! Well, we're going anyway but prob only to the ceremony, then back home again.

Battery on laptop is about to die and charger is upstairs so I'm signing off. Will stick Eddie Izzard on my Ipod and try and drift back off to sleep!

    Hugs to all! x
  • RJH I've just munched a banana, exciting eh? Always bring one to bed for this time of the morning. Might be worth a go? If you're like me you'll just lie there thinking of food lol. They said the splints are mainly for nighttime as that's when I'm more likely to relax my wrists and kinda bend them. But for first two days where them in the day too. It's much cooler here now too. Had a nap in the afternoon yday and woke up drenched even with no covers etc on.
Re: clothes, I'm the same very few to wear now. But not such a problem as I'm at home a lot. I've found OH's tshirts fit rather nicely ;) not so fitting/suitable for going 'out out' but never mind

MMM I don't know how you're still working! Esp not being able to sleep too. Sounds like work are being an @ss too. At least I can nap a bit or laze on the sofa during the day so can't main too much. But not having a decent nights sleep is beginning to make me grumpy.
It seems a lot of 'older' folk don't tolerate that pregnancy is tiring, in their day they just got on with it. So made me laugh about OH's nan. Maybe just put in an appearance and get back to the sofa. It takes a lot of effort for me to get out the house these days, but a lot of the time I'm glad I did go out and see people and actually end up having a nice time. What time is the wedding? Maybe you ciould sleep in this morning? Hope you manage a little more sleep xx

  • Oh I meant to ask this yday....
Re:BH. The midwife explained what they are at antenatal the other week and I haven't had any which I'm not bothered about cos I know not everyone gets them. But the past couple of days only 4-5 times I've had intense lower back pain lasting a minute max. Not really any tightening around the bump/front apart from one of the times. OH thinks they're BH and is getting all excited. It's literally a minute or less then nothing. What do people think?

I'm feeling a bit sleepy now so will try and go back to sleep. OH's alarm will go off in 6 minutes and he'll press snooze for an hour or so, so who knows lol

  • Rung mothercare to ask and they said no!

    :(

rj - I hope you managed to get some sleep. I'm not looking forward to 40 wks at all.
LMM - I'm with rj, I didn't think you needed the splinters at night as well. Sorry can't help with BH as not had any yet (I don't think!).
MMM- could you go and not stay for the whole do? I've done that before and people were quite understanding (I wasn't even pregnant then, I didn't want to be there but felt I had to so I just told them I wasn't well *coughs*)

I just want the Tens machine for when I am at home in early labour. Aim is to then go to the birthing unit for a water birth so wouldn't use it then.

Can't believe I am awake again. It's already boiling hot here and we have to go to B&Q to get the new flooring. I may just lie in a cold bath for the rest of the day.

I know I am near the end now as I am spending most of my time on the loo, body is def having a clearout. Sorry, TMI!

Belolla yeah they lend them to you for early labour. U just normally pay a small returnable deposit. Cheaper than some of the big companies sometimes
