    Afternoon all!

Congratulations Laura on the birth of Niall - what an unusual name too.

Well I'm defurred and feeling quite sore down there now as had some of the undercarriage waxed too - didn't hurt too badly at the time, but a bit bruised and sore now. :o

My Mum bought me some leg cream from Mama Mio for my swollen feet whilst we were there too as the therapist put some on my feet when she did my leg wax and it really helped them to go down a bit, so looking forward to Moon putting some on me again tonight.

Feeling hot and sticky now so off to put my feet up and watch tv.

Hugs to all who need or want them,

I had Niall vetoed as a possible boy's name by hubby... granted he knew full-well I would have done it after Niall Quinn!

With the carrycot thing - remembering that Erin was smaller than normal (4lb 15) and therefore you'd expect her to be in hers longer, plus the fact the carrycot we had for our original buggy (that I then hated and went off and bought an iCandy but that's another story...) is on the very large side by most - there's no way on this universe we'll make it to 6 months in it - she's almost full length in it NOW at 4 months!

The iCandy buggy we switched to said "use carrycot till 6 months, if you can't do this, leave the chair fully reclined" - we've been using it since about 3 1/2 really.
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

Niall is an Irish name. It's quite popular over here. I really like it, but am concerned that DH has a cousin called that, so if we name this baby that, they would have the same first name and surname. We only see him at weddings and funerals, but still is a problem for me.

Ladies I think I need to get my butt in gear and hire a tens machine. Has anyone else hired one and where is it from?

    Thanks!
  • Hi Bellola, i dont have one and wasn't planning on having one but I got a leaflet from my ante-natal class last night and it was from www.naturesgate-uk.com (tel 01256 346 060) and is 6 weeks hire from £23.50

  • I tried the tens machine when I was in labour with DD and I didn't like it, I found it really irritating and it didn't help me with the pain.

  • I think they are just more supposed to be a distraction from the pain. I am hoping to go for water, so probably shouldn't use a tens machine too. Ha!

When we had our antenatal classes the midwife said someone once forgot to take her Tens machine off as she got in the water and they were all really disappointed because they expected sparks and drama and it just stopped working lol.

Wish I could have a water birth, might just try and stay in the bath for as long as possible lol x
