Oh and I still can't find a play gym I really like - think I might be being too fuzzy.
I chose this one. Can use with just the mat-just the ring and with or without the canopy. So lots of options.

Plan on using the ring in the bathroom when mummy wants a quick 5 min shower!!

I've just been stupid. Just spent £30 on dangly toys for pram/moses basket/car seat etc. They are so cute though and should last for AGES.

    Still no gym though. :rotfl:

Thanks Fluff for the birth story, of course we want to know! Pity it didn't go according to plan but you've got what you went in for... A baby! (V. Cute btw)

As for refusing treatment, i was thinking about that after reading the NICE guidelines and it seems you are allowed to refuse anything, which made me wonder what if someone refuses a section for (say) a bad breech or placenta praevia? Do the doctors/nurses whip out hard-ball and say they won't attend the birth in that case?
Being in the worst breech position right now (She is footing and buga me don't I know it ) I had been told that I could have a natural delivery but they highly do not recommend it. As the rate of death/severe complications etc is like 20 out of 100 or was it 1000 lol. Either way they said it was a higher risk to the baby but of course CS had a higher risk to the mother. Tbh had she have been in the frank legs crossed feet up position still I might be thinking about a natural delivery although tbh still don't think I could just incase something did happen. Tbh it's if you want to take that risk of little one dying. For me I just wanted an end to it and I was prepared to take the section to get that end done. So they never point blank refused but they did say they highly recommend not doing so due to how dangerous it could be. When I was given the initial print out on options it showed natural delivery as an option alongside Cs & ECV. It gave %'s and all the information on each for you to make your own mind up. Until I was given this I thought that they would point blank refuse a natural delivery tbh! So almost felt a bit odd that I could now consider it but as she showed footing on both ecv scans and thats the worse for the cord dropping down i'm happy as I say.

Rebekah my DS was an elective due to breech 14 years ago. They did give me the option of a natural birth and having him turned but in the end he was in such an awkward position they decided a C-sec would be best anyway.

I have got the option this time around to have one as I have already had one, although there is no reason why I need one as yet. Going back on 13th Sept to let them know finally what I want to do.

The M&S sale has a few nice bits in it, already bought some stuff this month in the Mothercare sale this month so going to hold off for now. I have got lots of 0-3 stuff already so have bought a few 3-6 and 6-9 bits. Tesco have some nice stuff and it's really reasonable before the sale.

    Congrats Fluffnutter!

    hello all.

Fluff your freddie is so cute. just feel like cuddling him. :) did you wait for a surprise then? i thought you knew the sex of the baby? he is so so cute. xxxx hugs

LM hope you are feeling better today! hope everyone is ok today.

Got anothed headache. yesterday saw the midwife, had my loong list of quesitons. I will be seeing different midwives every time. so weird as i thought we are supposed to have one so we can bond or get to know her. weird indeed. she asked if we wanted to hear the heartbeat and i said yes immediately.:) she tried and we heard such a weird noise at first - clearly stuff going on in my belly and then we heard it. DH was scared for me because the midwife said we could or not hear it and if we done, i cuold come back next week or go to the epu. i freaked out of course. lol. so he said it was good we heard it otherwise he would have had to deal with me panickin and worrying.

im glad we heard it. it was not very clear but we did.:) i got emotional . :)
    ahhh

better deal with this headache before my driving lesson. meh xx

Fluff - thank you for your birth story and photos, he's gorgeous! Hope you are recovering well.

Well I'm off work now! I had a nice day yesterday with flowers and another card and lunch bought for me, and then I got evicted at 2.30pm! Felt really strange saying goodbye to everyone. Got home and burst into tears! OH promptly walked up the high road to get me flowers - he said my early homecoming scuppered his surprise!

Had a lovely celebratory meal last night at Miller & Carter and I had a champagne cocktail and STEAK. Also wore my lovely new blue New Look maxi dress so EVERYONE looked me at me and my massive bump.

Had the hospital tour this morning. Can't say I enjoyed it. It all looked very medical and a home birth did cross my mind. The birthing unit was nice but I don't fancy a water birth and with my heart, I don't know if they'd let me in the unit anyway. The midwife showing us round was very proud of the "twinkling electric nightlight" in one of the rooms -- yeah as if that's going to help??!! Don't know how I didn't laugh.

Was really looking forward to our Kiddicare trip tomorrow for pram, car seat and other baby bits, so hope that lifts my mood as the hospital tour did depress me a bit.

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend and managing to stay dry.

Can't remember who it was thinking about the reusable nappies, but Little Lambs have got more goodies on their sale if you want to buy a few to see how you get on: http://www.littlelambnappies.com/fb-the-sequel
