Diszi you will soon find something else to buy him whether it be a toy or another outfit or something like that. We've been done for a long time but if I have money in my purse and we are in a shop that sells baby stuff then I manage to find something for him lol. Think that's how he's ended up with so many clothes and the choice of 4 place to sleep lol x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

A quick rummage on the group B strep thing seems to show that you're fairly likely to have the bacteria, it's possible that it flares up and calms down again, there's no point in testing too soon before labour as it might give you a false positive or a false negative, and even if you do have it there's not much point doing anything about it because the chance of it being transferred to the baby is fairly small unless you have another risk factor as well. Routinely giving all labouring women (even if they have tested positive) antibiotics will just make the bug immune to the antibiotic. So think carefully before testing, there's a good chance it will come back positive and then what will you do?

I think I have bought too much too soon... I'm 25 weeks and all I have left to buy is:

    Changing Mat
Sudo Cream You should get a small pot of this in your Bounty pack, and also a Bepanthen sample - I've got 2 of these - think one was from a baby club online or something and one from the Bepanthen website (apparently Bepanthen is better anyway, although I've only used Sudocreme on my skin for spots before so can't comment)
Talc This is advised against due to asthma and also it being a carcinogen
Cotton Wool Balls Get cotton wool square pads instead - the balls are too small for cleaning anything other than eyes
Black Nightdress Try Primark as they have some that are button-down at the top so could be used for breastfeeding (I paid £4.50 for mine)
Maternity Knickers I've bought some big black cotton knickers that I can throw away if needs be and lots of pads as they're meant to be more comfortable than the knickers.
    Cheap Flip flops
    Nappy Bags (Sainsburys Basics)

Although to be fair I have left a small list of things people (I have no idea who these people will be) can buy as gifts if they want to...I call it my wish list as they are not things I NEED but more that I WANT! They are:

    Socks On
    Baby Grooming Kit (Tommee Tippee)
    Bumbo & Tray
Baby Swim Nappy 6-12m (not disposable)
    Baby Gym (Fisherprice Rainforest)
    Chilli Peeps Multi-teat (Asda)
    Cot Mobile (Hungry Caterpillar Style?)
    High Chair

Hope you don't think I'm interfering, but just added a couple of tips on your need to buy list.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Hi all,

Sorry I haven't been around much. Just sitting here waiting! I'm now 4 days overdue and am going a little stir crazy.

I hope that all of you guys have been keeping well.

Wishing you the very best of luck Jedi - I'm super excited for you.

    xxxxxx
  • Rups. I'm just back from Bulgaria and normally I'm on facto 8-10 and spend the day in the sun, this time I was factor 25-30 and spent most of the time in the shade. I still burned a bit and my skin literally blistered before my eyes in direct sunlight. The days by the sea were best as the breeze cooled me down as opposed to by the pool where it was sweltering. I still got a good tan, mostly on the front as I couldn't lie on my front to tan my back. I asked my OH to dig a bump shaped hole in the sand so I could stick my bump in it and lie on my front but he looked at me like I was mad lol. I had no problems in the sea, it was fantastic.
