Ferrety, have you found out whether baby is engaged? I was told at my 34 wk appt that baby was 4/5 engaged so definitely on the way down which would explain some of my discomfort lower down. I definitely don't feel alot past my belly button, it's all further down. I just get kicks around my belly button.

At 34+6 I finally have my first stretch marks AND I can no longer put my socks on. :( On the other hand, I have my midwife appointment tomorrow so I'm all excited! :D

Congrats all the ladies with new babies. Although I'm rushing towards the teens too fast. Please stop popping out those pretty babies. Hold on a little bit more.

Twinkle I haven't worn socks for weeks as it's just not worth the effort lol!
I have stretch marks too but not in my bump, but on my hips and inner thighs.

I think baby has wiggled down more (he was head down but not engaged on Monday) as I've been feeling lots of pressure in my bottom and lower back. Also I can feel him ferreting round a lot lower and the sore bit of my bump where his bum was pushing out has moved lower.

    xx

  • Hello all!

Just catching up on the days events. Congrats Clarissa! Love,y name, hope you're both doing well.

I went to legoland today, was wonderful. Obviously didn't get on many rides. Was quite hilly for the wheelchair too, but was great fun :) only just coming to bed now. My sister is staying and my aunt is going home tomorrow so we've been up chatting. They've had a couple of drinkies and I've been supping tea lol. Am absolutely shattered now!

RJH hope things start properly for you soon. I'm not looking forward to all the false starts.
Rups sorry to hear of your fight. If OH continues to act like an @ss tell him that you won't allow him to come into the scan room. You are the 'patient' so you can refuse for him to come! I'm sure he got a good job as much for his self worth as for you. And really growing his baby, putting up with the sickness, tiredness, aches and pains etc should be precious enough for him. It's no easy task! I hope he is feeling grateful for what YOU are doing! hopefully your time in Italy away from BIL and stresses here will allow you to spend some quality time together. Good luck for your scan today (whatever you decide to do about finding out the flavour).
Ferrety hope you're feeling better today.
Gemma sounds like a busy week ahead. Hope you've not too much on with in and celebrating and possible birth of baby
Jen thank you for sharing your story
Twinklie you lucky thing getting so far with no stretch marks I til now! Not been bothered with sock either, some days is impossible to get them on and off. I've mark from the tummy down into my 'lady parts' and a few on my thighs :(

Wishing all the boldies and those near popping lots of strong labour vibes. Hugs to those having a rough time and good luck to those having scans or appointments today.

    Night night xxx

LMM sounds like you had a great day. You must have been going to bed at the same time I was getting up this morning. I've given up on sleep lately and just decided to get out of bed rather than lying there and failing to get back to sleep.

Glad to hear you had a good birthday Gemma, and belated happy birthday for yesterday moneypuddle.

Ferrety - hope things are easing for you today and you're in less pain.

Twinklie I've managed to aquire new stretch marks in this pregnancy, and I already had loads from the past. I've now got them on the top of my thighs which is an annoying extra! Hope your appointment with the new midwife goes well, and glad to hear you're enjoying life with your OH since the move.

Rups - Sorry to hear you were so upset yesterday, I hope you and OH managed to sit down and have a talk last night. I think it's important that you're both clear what is going to happen today, as it would be stressful to start a disagreement whilst at the hospital. Whatever you decide hope all goes well and you feel happy with the decision. And that's great that you're starting to feel movement, it's so nice when that starts :)

Completely off topic, but we've got water coming through from the bathroom down into the kitchen through the ceiling! I let out the bath plug last night and the water came pouring through into the pantry  For once I'm glad to be a council tenant as I know they'll have to get here and sort it out soon, and I won't have to deal with it.

    Morning All,

Had a restless night and took more paracetamol at about 2am but alot better this morning.
Its just a really odd pain just on my tummy button and feels tender to touch. I think it was worse over night because of moving and trying to get comfy.

I am having my 36+2 check on weds so will find out then if baby is engaged at all i guess, my last appointment was very short and MW didnt mention anything so guessing not engaged then as i was still very comfy and all niggles and movements were the same as ever.

OH and I are going to view the birthing unit tonight so looking forward to that, OH did suggest i put the bags in the car incase baby decides she likes the place and comes early

Hope everyone else is well today and take it easy if you had a busy wkend x

i heard also that some hospitals dont even tell u the sex of the baby so i wonder if croydon will or not? DH would love it if the refused anyway.

Usually they don't tell you if you are of a certain race or religion...or live in an area of high population of certain race or religion...

As bad as it sounds, in some cultures they will abort a gender they don't want (usually aborting girls) and they don't want that of course!

P.S - I know loads who have found out at mayday so they should tell you if you want to know :)
