hugs jedi. xxx yes true but how do i tell him that? i am upset at him still and am drained from crying lol. i am giving it till next month and then i am going to tell him (not DH now) lol to ask him to leave as he should know and think about it himself. hubby thinks his brother is not stupid and should know but i doubt that as nothing has been said. i will def start next month whether we have more arguments or not!

Oh and as for finding out the sex of the baby Rups, stick to your guns and find out if you want to - it's your body, and you're carrying the baby, so should be able to find out what's happening to it. If your husband is adamant he doesn't want to know, tell the sonographer at the beginning of the scan so that she can send him out at the appropriate time. He has no right to dictate to you whether you find out or not, and also has no right to make you feel guilty if you do! It's making me really angry on your behalf.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day. Everyone left about 9ish so not a late one but so knackered. Started to get more painful contractions while people were here but they soon died down again.

Been to the beach today (Brancaster and Hunstanton) and had chips and icecream (not together), but now my feet and legs are a bit swollen for the first time.

Ikkle- I'm sorry your mum isn't being more supportive, I can't imagine having my mum anywhere near me when I labour, definitely not on my want to do list!

Rups- sorry OH is being a pain in the harris, perhaps he's just feeling the pressure of the pregnancy(not that it excuses him saying those things)

Congrats jen and Clarissa- so jealous, I really want to queue jump!

RJH- you sound like you are experiencing similar to me (although perhaps a bit more painfully). For the last two weeks on and off i have had varyingly painful contractions and tonnes of braxton hicks. I am a bit concerned that it is just pain for the sake of pain, but hoping that it is my body gradually starting to get ready for labour. Hopefully the pain and pressure of being 3/5 engaged will help get things going for you soon.

Aiming to submit first draft of latest assignment tonight just in case and will try and do my 2 monthly review aswell then I don't need to think about it until October when (fingers crossed) I will have a bit of a routine in place.

Sweep booked for Wednesday with the consultant, open to waters being broken if able to do so, will see what she says.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, my wedding anniversary tomorrow and DH birthday on Tuesday so should be a busy week even without a baby arriving!

i know hon.. but it will make it so hard as he is one hell of a stubborn so and so. and i know he will give me such a hard time about it!!! i am angry too but cant keep getting stressed. weirdly like ikkles mum is , i am not that close to my mum and i jst told her about it and she said he also has a right, which i agreed that is right but what about what i want? she said if i know the sex i will def spill the beans so she said its up to me. sigh.. everytime i think yep will find out, someone always says something that makes me go soft. lol. emotions all over the place. he is sooo stubborn.

i heard also that some hospitals dont even tell u the sex of the baby so i wonder if croydon will or not? DH would love it if the refused anyway.

thanks gemma. glad you had a good bday. ohh happy anniversary for tomorrow in case i forget to wish you tomorrow. scans at 4 so am excited nevertheless. the pressure form DH is not helping but i have to go with the flow. wish we agreed on things though. :0)

Moneypuddle Happy Birthday, I have some olive and henry stuff too they are lovely characters and i love the colour.

Rups its not fair on you to be feeling like this and it will make your pregnancy feel so long and such hard work. Cant you take a break for a few days with a friend or at least try and get DH to see how he is making you feel. ((Hugs))

((Hugs)) Ikkle hope things get sorted for you at least as long as your OH/DH is fully supportive he can help control your mum on the day if needed. Im sure the hospital team will ask her to leave the room too if its stressing you out.

I have had a wkend of feeeling tired and aching. I dont think its BH or anything like that but things do feel alot heavier and i suppose its poss baby has moved down a bit as im 36wks tomorrow.

Thanks guysn I feel so bleugh. I really thought things were happening. Baby is moving around now lots and every time he moves I feel like he is head buying me down below. It's making me yelp with pain. Few more contractions but nothing as regular as this morning. Wish this wee man would hurry up fed up. Don't like period pains. Maybe a nice warm bath tonight me thinks

Hi all, I am now 16 weeks pregnant and am still feeling sick and being sick about twice a week. Did anyone else have this. Also have recently taken antibiotics due to a suspected water infection but still feel the need to pee straight after I have been. Is this normal at 16 weeks?

Candlewax that all sounds completely normal to me apart from the peeing part - it may be worth going back to the dr in case the antibiotics need to change. The sickness could also be linked to those as well as the pregnancy. I know certain antibiotics have a dodgy effect on my tummy.

thanks ferret. hugs. xxx yes i thought when we get back from italy (we are going this thursday) and then a week after he !!!!!!s off to Scotland, i will try and see my friend in Germany. i think the way he said he needs to get away from me, i do need to get away from him too. he does have good intentions but when that anger kicks in then everything goes out of the window. earlier he was rubbing my feet and asked if i wanted a tub with hot water to have a soak. think he is feeling guilty? hehe. oh well. think its just a tough times for us both too and maybe tomorrow, i will bring it up with him about how i am feeling or need to be made feel. men. lol

candlewax when i had my infection 2 weeks ago i peed a lot and got those nitro... antibiotics. then after that i felt a little burn and went back to the gp. my wee was sent off to the hospital. must ring them before i head off to italy. go back to the gp too.

just been eating rubbish all weekend and i feel bad. bubba needs good food no? as from tomorrow as well, i want to start looking at buying stuff. i really hope all goes well at the scan.
