Afternoon all
Rups, I'm sorry your pain is still there. A few weeks ago I had a lot of pains around my bump, felt like I'd done too many sit ups. I got a wedge pillow to support my bump while I sleep and a bump support band from Mothercare, and they've mostly gone away now, apart from on days when I spend a lot of time on my feet in the lab.
It probably is just everything stretching out, there's a lot of movement going on when your bump starts popping out. Keep mentioning it to midwives/drs at any appointments so they can keep an eye on you, but don't worry too much
I'm exhausted today, even though I slept all the way through to 6am, instead of getting up for the loo at 2-3am. Also absolutely ravenous for the last week, and eating far more than is probably good for me. I weighed myself this morning though, and I've lost 2lb *confused* so I'm back to where I started in this pregnancy. I'm glad I haven't gained loads of weight, but still a bit worried that I've not gained much at 25 weeks gone! I did lose 0.5st when my morning sickness was bad, so I've regained that, but no gain for the last 6 weeks or so.
Busy weekend planned, we're going to my best friend's new house tonight so DH can help them put boxes up the loft, and then out for a curry. Tomorrow we're emptying the baby's room ready to paint next weekend, and my parents are coming on Sunday for lunch. Will get them to help us make a list of all the painting kit we need and come to Homebase with us, as we're decorating newbies!
Also need to get on with my knitting, I've made half the squares for the blanket I'm making at the moment, and I want to get it finished in the next couple of weeks. Luckily (?) DH is playing a very long XBox game at the moment and is happy to play for hours at a time so I don't get distracted from my knitting by the tv too much! :rotfl:
Hope everyone else has a good weekend, labour vibes to all that want them!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Rups - if it is PGP then it will be there till you have baby, there's nothing they can do other than give pain killers such as paracatemol and codeine and a support belt/band. If it is PGP you will just need to put up with it until the baby is born. I've been in tears over the pain I have in my pelvis and back as I have a spinal condition as well, sometimes I have to use crutches to get around or a wheelchair but there's no cure for it hun and you just have to make do with it.
LittleMoog I'm still over a stone lighter than I was when I got pregnant, as long as your measuring right for your dates then theres nothing to worry about..You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

eventful morning for us
I've been having braxton hicks on and off for ages now but they always die down and stop, they started again yesterday evening at 5pm and were coming all night every 10 mins, they were painful and I was getting lots of pressure in my bits. I tried the usual drinking more/lying down/walking around to get them to stop which had no effect and they were still there after i had slept, along with some diarrhoea, so I gave triage a call and ended up going up to be checked over,
They strapped me on the monitor and the tightenings were showing but bubs is happy so no concerns there, I also had an exam which showed my cervix isnt opening so not pre-term labour :j they couldnt tell me why I was in pain though and sent me home with some codine to help.
Feeling very sore, bit miffed that im none the wiser and still getting the tightenings but at least I can relax that its not labour !
Going to spend the day with my feet up and hope they goBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
I don't think it would be any good for me tbh, I've had physio which if you speak to your midwife they will be able to refer you for it. Normally they tend to wait till around 28ish weeks but due to my spinal condition I got an early referral.
I think I struggle more because I can't take any of my normal meds for my back as they cause serious complications in pregnancy, and I can't take codeine. I've been pretty much house bound for months now apart from if OH or my family take me out somewhere as I can't walk for long.
I know it's annoying for you but unfortunately it's part of pregnancy and there's not a lot you can do chick. You just have to grin and bear it and remember it's all worth it for the end result. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hope they stop for you soon Mishka, sounds scary
Glad you got checked out though, and they don't think it's labour.

MW hasn't measured my fundal height yet, but she said last week that it was where she expected while she was doing the heart rate monitoring, and they would start measuring at next appointment. I'm not that worried, but all the baby apps I have keep going on about how important it is to gain at the "right" rate, think it's because they're American though, as when I asked my midwife how much I "should" be gaining she said there weren't any guidelines here, just to try and avoid excessive gains/losses.
DH said this morning that he thinks I'm going to end up significantly lighter after I give birth, as I've obviously lost weight in my face, but it's not showing anywhere else due to bump. Nice to know he's noticed! Might get out my non-maternity jeans and see if they feel any looser on legs/bum, as my size 16 maternity jeans are hanging off me!
Sorry you're having such a rotten time with the PGP, 2 of my sisters suffered really badly with itA word of warning - if you're planning to use a wrap/sling/carrier once bubs is here you may find that it puts all the weight back in the same position and causes the pain to come back - this happened to my sister and she had to wait until about 8-9 weeks for all the ligaments to firm up again after birth before she could use her Moby wrap with niece no2.

Haha I have a pair of my granddads braces to keep my trousers up lol.
I know what you mean about the sling though, I do have one but I intend to use it purely for getting up and down the steps from our maisonette and then putting bubs in his pram and also for when I'm breastfeeding at my nans etc. I've suffered with my back for a very long time now so I'm quite aware of my limits, the PGP is a whole new kettle of fish though, I actually cried at my midwife appointment on Wednesday. If I lay on my back and spread my legs they make an almighty cracking noise in my hips. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hi everyone,
I am 14 weeks and still losing weigh, nothing extreme but 1-2 a week or stay the same. I have no bump yet but have no desire of food, i only eat because otherwise i feel i am going to faint and be sick.
If it is possible i would like to stay the same or put on very little weight but will this affect the baby growth ? I see people who have healthy babies and put almost nothing on. I am a size 10-12 but way over what i used to be before my first pregnancy.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0
