Dug out notes from last antenatal and it advised that you have to be 5cm dilated before you can use the birthing pool at our hospital.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Good luck everyone who is in labour even if it is slow, hope you get mummy cuddles soon.

Sexymouse - I'd imagine if your contractions started whilst you were at the hairdressers you would still end up going home for a little while before hospital as near us they don't let you go in till your contractions are a minute apart, even if your waters have broken unless there is meconium in your waters.

Got the size 10 in the bikini I posted on here yesterday, and it doesn't fit - it fits on the top half but the cut of the bottoms is not very flattering and I've decided to send both bikinis back. Will have to find an alternative bikini top to wear instead.

Oh and I haven't bought any dummies because I'm a bit hippy like that and I don't think they are good for the child... ask a dentist or speech therapist and they will tell you so! Each to their own of course but as I never had one, neither did my mum or my gran and we didn't die of Infant SDS or Cot Death (which is an argument the dummie lovers frequent to me to make me agree with them!) so I am going to try not to eaither... although if baby won't stopr crying I might cave and rush to 24hr tesco! lol

I said the same but found myself in Asda at 3am in the morning the day DD was born buying one :rotfl: keep one hidden just incase :D

Thank you. We've just ordered a BabyMoov http://products.babymoov.eu/baby-style-changing-bag.html

I've got the same one but in grey/blue. You can fit heaps in it, I've stored various bits n bobs in it at the moment and there's still lots of room.

I got my results from my GTT and I don't have gestational diabetes :j
Also, I got the crib set I'd ordered from eBay in the post today and it's so cute. Can't wait to set it all up. When is everyone else setting their cribs/cots up? Baby won't have a nursery as he'll be sharing a room with DD until we move next year, he'll be in with us to begin with.

My cot is built and my crib is built, both have a sheet on them at the moment but both the sheets need prewashing for the baby anyway so will take them off and put them in the wash in another couple of weeks. Crib is currently sat in bubs room though but will be in our room. We've also got a moses basket and a carrycot on the pushchair lol. x

Ooh ikkle, lots of places to sleep!

Ok, I have a silly question, but I really have no idea what to expect and I'm watching OBEM so questions are necessary. How does the whole giving birth the the placenta work? You have the baby then what? Skin to skin contact then how much longer after the birth does the placenta come? What happens if you have a c-section? Sorry, I'm naive!
