Hi All,
Ohh exciting, hope all you ladies showing labour signs are having cuddles soon and that all goes well for you all x
I am starting to feel funny now with only a few wks till DD and it feels odd finishing work tomorrow as the only time i have ever finished work is to leave. I cant imagine how its going to feel trying to fit back in after my mat leave its going to be odd.
I have lost the bra this pm and opted for the support vest top, not great when large chested but its fine for at home and so much more comfy.
I am kind of getting impatient now and with nan and OH convinced we will be early i think I will go out of my mind if im late.
I havnt seen cousins baby yet but as far as I know all is well and all of them are doing great.
Hugs and labour vibes to all xRachel

sexymouse - i am planning to have a waterbirth if the birthing pool is available. plan to wear an old maxi dress for early labour, i think you have to be at a certain point in labour before they let you in the pool as it can sometimes slow things down. i then plan just to wear my sports bra, i am not too worried about my bits being on show as it is below water plus hopefully only my DH and midwife will be present.
AMC - keep it up, i am sure it will get easier
Chrissy - very exciting about your labour, hope it continues to proceed! lol at your OH
i am feeling rather tired today with a headache and a little sicky. even though i had period type pains last night but nothing else, i think it might be due to how i lay in bed though because it only seems to happen at night.
feeling in limbo not knowing when baby is coming, therefore not wanting to arrange to go out with family, as we want to keep baby a secret for one night just to have time as a family. its my sisters birthday on 3rd august so baby might come on that day!
i had a terrible dream last night that i gave birth to a boy and he died in my arms about 10 mins later. i woke up crying.
DH says he really wants to meet baby now and find out whether its a boy or girl. i am trying to keep relaxed and not worry about when baby is coming but its hard to when everyone around you is on tenderhooks waiting.
dummy - if my baby has to have one thats fine, we will go with the flow. i have a nephew who is 4 though who still needs a dummy to go to bed:o
wishing everyone a fun day. hopefully GB gymnastic girlies might get a medal.

Still feeling the same except really really tired. Yes took some paracetomol although don't really see the point!
She just said come back when it's constant pain. Reckon that's gonna be late tonight probably. Have to say I am surprised how quickly the day is going though.
Thanks again for the well wishes, it's really nice to know you're thinking of me.
Rjh - good luck to you!0 -
jedi I'm hoping to get in the birthing pool too, though not sure I will go for the full water birth experience. we got told at the antenatal classes that getting into the birthing pool can help speed up labour, but can't remember if you had to be so many cm's dilated first.
Thanks to all for the messages about my OH yesterday; I know you must have all been horrified that I slept on the sofa but I really was very comfy and wouldn't have done it unless I was! When I split up from my ex (a long time ago) I actually slept on the sofa for about a year! Think it was a comfot thing. In any case OH did try and get me to go to bed a few times but I was too far gone (angry, sad, upset) and just wouldn't listen!
I know that there was loads more that i wanted to write but baby brain is definitely striking today. Got lots on at work today too - had a massive argument with the Sales Director this morning. I actually could feel a lump coming up in my throat in the middle of it all, and really had to calm myself down so that I didn't burst into tears! It wasn't that I was upset, but I was getting so frustrated that he wasn't prepared to reasonable discuss things that I think my body was looking for me to cry out all my stress rather than hold it in!0 -
