Mrsj, I'm only 33+5 and like that! My poor Dh, although he some what stupidly told me I'm very grumpy and hormonal when I'm pregnant! I know I am but try to control it, obviously not doing a very good job, he did follow it up with an 'its worth it though' not sure how I felt about that one! Bless him.
That's good sparkles! Did she say if babies head was starting to engage? I was 2/5s last time but know they can pop up and down more when its not baby number one.
Did they give you any advice on getting him to turn girlzmum? I imagine you are hoping for natural route with your girls to think about too.0 -
Sparkles - good news baby is head down and engaged - did they say how much?
Sam1984 - I suppose I have been irritable quite a bit throughout pregnancy!!! I'm just trying to find a positive to being so horrible and hoping it might mean labour is round the corner! My baby's head was also 2/5 engaged at last two appointments (37 and 38 weeks), but feels like my bump has dropped lower since so I'm hoping it means it's gone a bit further down.
Girlzmum - hope the baby turns for you soon.
Just about to take a cake out of the oven, that should cheer up my stupid bad mood! Poor DH has retreated upstairs as he said he thought I might like some time on my own!!! (more like code for he would like some time away from me I think....)0 -
Plleeeease somebody tell me that extreme irritability is a sign of impending labour!! I'm a horrible irrational b1tch this evening!! Poor DH has done nothing wrong other than decided not to go out this evening and to go out tomorrow instead..... and for some reason I'm ridiculously annoyed because a) we ate early so that he could go out and b) I thought I'd have a bit of time in the house to myself (rare!) to do some cooking and cleaning..... All he's done is be lovely but I don't even want him anywhere near me now... and I can still get the cooking and cleaning done with him here..... horrible hormones!!
Oh well, irritability aside, have had a lovely day, got hair done and cooked some bits for the freezer. Come on baby, I'm all ready now!!
*delurk* YES YES YES. We had the biggest argument ever, I lost my plug the next day and went into labour*relurks*

Ahh good its not just me then! So much more tiring this time though with an 11yr old and 16month old to sort out. Not sure what he expects really! Cake sounds good, I've got a bowl full of strawberries and cream! Yummy!
Oh gilly you were lucky my plug came away but no labour till I got induced six days later! Although it was christmas day so was glad it didn't happen then!0 -

No suggestions given, they said he's still very active and he'll probably just move down again. I really want to avoid a c-section, my girls finish school at the end of June and there will be at least 6 weeks of school holidays to entertain them through after baby arrives! They are dying to help (big advantage of having a 7 and 10 year old!) but I'm not sure how long that enthusiasm will last when there is a screaming baby disturbing their sleep!!
Have to say that she was very good today and chased up appointments that I should have had but didn't. My obs wanted me to have an echo done on Wriggler, so looked it up to find there had been an appointment made and cancelled because the consultant was on holiday and there was no cover - no other appointment was ever made or sent out and they said at this stage they would just wait and echo him if there are any problems after delivery. There were no problems picked up on when I had 21 week scan. She also picked up that I hadn't been seen by anaethestist so he was sent for and had a quick review, although he said my pelvis problem, while very sore at the minute, may actually mean an easier delivery (as long as he turns himself around!)Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -

I need to get angry and irritable too then! Snoz - I reckon we both do!!!:D
I have been 2/5s engaged for 4 weeks - I just looked in my notes! GRRRR! Been bouncing on my ball tonight and ate a McFlurry (god I love these - I know we're not supposed to eat soft icecream....but its soooo lush!).
I also went to Tescos with the OH - we think its hilarious how many "oh my god" looks I now get - I wore my tightest fitting Boden dress for full effect:rotfl:!!!! Planning on making some choc cookies (to eat and for the freezer!) tomorrow to cure the boredom!0 -
Oh they will love it, my girl is nearly 11 and ds is now 16months and the novelty hasn't worn off at all, she is definitely his favorite person, its so sweet to watch them together, in many ways its lovely having that age gap because she can do so much more for/with him and their bond is fantastic, although going back to the sleepless nights was very hard!! I'm worried for the holidays, dd breaks up on the 24th July and baby is due on the 25th but I'm sure all will be ok and ill have worried for nothing! Hopefully baby will get on and turn for you! Maybe the midwife will give you a few ideas next time you see her0
