Thanks Dida, I've just downed a glass of OJ and also had a load of berries with my cereal, so this baby will be getting an almighty sugar rush in a few minutes!
MV we put a gate on DS's door after we took the bars off the cot, to keep him in the room when he's supposed to be settling down to sleep. We open it when we go to bed so that he can come into us in the morning. He's got up in the night a couple of times recently but just comes in to us for a cuddle - I'm hoping he's not going to realise that he can get into the bathroom too. Can you put locks on the cupboards you don't want your DS to get into? Maybe if he realises there's no fun to be had if he gets up, he'll stay in bed.
We have kept meaning to put locks on the kitchen cupboards, but just haven't got round to it.
I think I may just lock his door whilst he is getting off to sleep and then open it again so he can come out in the morning. His Gro Clock is failing spectacularly to keep him in bed! He seems to be getting up earlier and earlier thesedays!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Well....so far I have done absolutely nothing apart from hang yet another load of washing out (oh....and I watched all the Nectar Adpoint ads that there were....I must be bored)! I then went back to bed and just got frustrated lying there....!
These are the cookies that I will be making later (OH isn't coming home until 8pm and I will be climbing the walls by then if I don't have something to do!) http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2459643/ - they seem easy enough and I like anything "vintage"!
I would like the lemon curd and raspberry cake recipe also pls BB - I absolutely adore lemon cakes!
I am going to venture out to a local garden centre with a relative this afternoon - first stop their caf! for a big slice of their homemade cakes!!!!I may as well make a chubby baby if it isn't going to come out yet!

Not been around for a bit (although I've been lurking!!) In fact I don't know if the last time I posted was on the 12-24 week thread.
29+3 now and just found out we're having another little boy (ds1 will be 18 months when this small person turns up) bumps been oddly sore this morning, hope this passes quickly, don't remember it from first time round!!
Big hugs to all you overdue ladies, I was induced at +12 last time and those days in between were the worstnearly time though, they can't make you wait much longer!!

Went to my MW app and have been told by the MW that baby is measuring a bit on the small side. I'm trying not to worry (and she said not to), but she did tell me off for doing too much generally and said I need to slow down and take it easy..not easy when you have a 2.5 year old and a job!
Has anyone else had the same told to them? She said baby needs to put on a bit more fat and she wants me to go back in 2 weeks for a follow up.
Going for my Whooping Cough jab this evening too.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

I'm sure that it is nothing to worry about as all babies develop at their own speed. My little un is apparently on the large side and my eyes are already watering at the prospect of being induced on Saturday. A few weeks ago he was on the small side so you can't really win either way.
I don't know what to suggest other than to factor in some much needed me time.
Be warned with your whooping cough jab. My arm ached like a beeeeeeitch for an absolute age.

What a lovely idea!!I told my OH that if we knew that baby could sleep in a cardboard box then we would have saved ourselves a fortune!

How did the MW determine that your baby is small, MV? If it's from your fundal height, that's not very accurate. My DS measured 2 weeks behind for a while and was 9lb 4oz at birth. This one is also measuring 2 weeks behind, but neither me nor the midwife are concerned based on past experience.
Just had a lovely lunch with DH - though he was half an hour late back to work as we lost track of timeI had a medicinal chocolate, strawberry and marshmallow cheesecake for pudding and the baby jigged all the way home, so I'm pretty sure he's fine in there.
And my raspberry and lemon curd cake is now in the oven, so the recipe will be coming up shortly for those that want itYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0
