Hopefully something will happen on it's own before saturday, snozberry. There's still plenty of time.
Anusol is good for soothing piles. Even if you're not constipated, the pressure from the weight of the baby can cause them in the later stages.
The midwife I saw last time said I could have a sweep at my next appointment, when I'll be 40+1. She was doing holiday cover for my usual mw, so the regular one had better not say I have to wait another week or I will not be happy! All being well, I'll be having on this Friday.
Lots of bouncing going on here too. I'm so sick of the sight of that bloody ball! You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Get some (plain) bio yogurt - to sit in this time not eat!!!:D (and without sound too gross - use loads!). If not, go to your doctor - remember all prescription stuff like that will be free!0 -
I've got MW app tomorrow so will mention it then - can she do prescriptions?
And at the risk of sounding completely stupid and clueless....will she need to have a look to check if it is thrush?New first time mummy to a gorgeous little boy!

No - mw's don't do prescriptions. She will refer you to your doctor - and its highly unlikely she will ask to see anything - even when I have been to the doctor - they have never asked to see "down there" - if you describe the symptoms accurately and have had it before they generally just believe you. I would just book an appointment to see the doctor and when booking mention you are pregnant - they will be keen to see you asap! Sometimes they might even just prescribe something for you without you having to be seen - if its something you have had before.0 -
Big congrats Lola
Come on overdue ladies! Looking forward to some more birth announcements!
Well I still seem to have the worlds squirmiest baby! She seems to really come alive at around 8pmish after dinner. I was saying to OH last night that might be a sign of things to come!
I'm at work at the moment and she pretty much hasn't stopped grooving since 8am this morning when I got in!
At my last MW check up (26 weeks) she was breech, so hoping all the jiggling means she has turned around and in facing the right way!
Got my 30 week check with the MW tomorrow, and have to shell out another £16.50 for a 'fit to fly' note from the GP as we are off to Spain next week on our hols
My excuse is I'm going to be far too preggers to do much, so OH and grandparents are going to be in the hot seat with DS :T
I on the other hand will be lying like a whale by the pool, reading books and trying not to do too much.
Knowing me though, I'll be unable to completely relinquish control..I'm a bit of a control freak, particularly when it comes to DSMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
You have to pay for your letter MV? When I went to the doctors last week the MW signed it and told me to enjoy my holiday and that was it - it was the letter I'd downloaded from the Ryanair website though rather than anything specifically from the doctor! My Debt Free Diary

Yes I was told I have to pay for a GP letter (which is basically a form letter that the Dr scribbles his name on)
I didhn't even think I'd need one as my pregnancy has been uncomplicated (touch wood), but the MW told me that my travel insurance would not be valid without a 'fit to fly' note.
We are flying with Sleazy Jet, so maybe they have a form letter on their website too..I shall have a look, but unsure if my rubbish GP will sign it.
Seems a bit money spinner for themMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Easyjet didn't even ask me for my letter at 28/29 weeks, so was quite glad I didn't pay for it.
Re: thrush - I found ice-polls down my trousers (but not pants) helped with the swelling and canesten cream for the itch. They are cheap enough to throw after!
Have midwife appointment shortly and finally remembered to write stuff down to ask her as I nearly always think of something once I'm back in the car. I don't think baby is engaged or the correct way up so might be sent for a scan - bit worried about the turning process but would be nice to get another scan to check as I've been worrying about it.
