My very tiny second son literally flew into the world in an insane labour that only started at 7pm, last night, at 11.45pm on 10th June 2013, Louie Ellis was born weighing 5lb 15oz at nearly 40+10. We were discharged within 3hrs & he's been asleep at home by my bed ever since. Really need to wake him for a feed but he's so peaceful. I however have been awake all night with adrenalin & after pains. So tired!
Good luck everyone (esp Snoz) I very much recommend a sweep, raspberry leaf tea capsules and midwife led delivery units x x
A huge congratulations Lola! You must be so relieved!
I'm having the sweep later this morning so hopefully my time at the top spot will be short.

Massive congratulations lola :T Wow, that was a quick labour!
Fingers crossed for your sweep having a similar effect, snozberry.
I think that makes me 3rd on the list now. Eek! It only seems like a couple of weeks ago that I was in the 30s.

Hey everyone, hope your all ok! Not been on for a while, had an emotional couple of days my sister got married Saturday, had my grandpas cremation yesterday and Dd also went away yesterday for a week with school, missing her so much already. Plus all the helping/sorting out on the days before, feeling really emotionally drained and down today.
Yay! Congratulations Lola!! You must be so pleased after your extra 10 day wait!
Goodluck with your sweep today snoz, fingers crossed it works for you!
Dida, I would give the sweep ago, I was induced with Ds and its an experience I hope to not repeat this time, I have had quick labours with both mine so lucky in that sense but I really didn't like the feeling from the gel they use. So in just over 6 weeks I will be doing everything in my power to get this one going naturally! Although nothing worked last time and dd was 14 days over so not holding out much luck, but will have fun trying! But on the flip side I really don't want this one to be early as dd has loads of stuff for me to attend a couple of days before d day as its her last year at primary school and I really don't want to miss anything. Not asking for a lot am I!?! :rotfl:
Bride2be, I started my mat leave at 29weeks, for several different reasons but I have found filling my time easy, could do with a bit more relaxing time really but not going to happen here unfortunately! Everything takes twice as long to do now anyway!
Has anyone else had physio during their pregnancy? I have awful sciatic(sp?) pain and bad hips and back so midwife sending me off to see someone, just wondering what advice I'm likely to get or is it going to be another waste of time like all my consultant appointments?
Sorry for going on, that turned into a massive post.

'Morning all - huge congrats to lola as well
Still completely unprepared for this flight on Friday - will have to source flight socks/stocking from somewhere (which I'll put on ON the plane and take off also on the plane! :rotfl: ) as well as sorting all my clothes and trying to hide OH's surprises! My Debt Free Diary

Massive congratulations lolamancity! So pleased for you and that the long wait is over!
Snozberry hope your sweep gets things going!
Can't believe I'm number 4 now, seems like I only joined this thread a few weeks ago!
Can I ask those who have had a sweep - is it very painful or just a bit uncomfortable?
Mrsj x 39 +10 -
Congratulations Lolamancity and ConventGirl!
I'm starting my leave next Thursday and am counting down the days! I have 4 weeks annual leave to take before I start maternity leave (I'm due to go back next April, can only carry over one week of leave and need to use annual leave before baby arrives) so I'm using that up first and as I'm supposed to be induced at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes I officially finish at 34 weeks. To be honest I work on a busy hospital ward and its getting very tough for me, I have SPD (was on crutches from 20 weeks with youngest), sciatica and I already had problems with my left hip and right knee so I am in a lot of pain and working 13/14 hour days are completely exhausting me.
Off to maternity for another scan this morning and DH is coming with me for this one - its been our daughters keeping me company for the last few, they love coming along to see their little brother!
Starting to worry about being induced, both my girls arrived when they decided to so I've never been induced before! Anyone got any tips or suggestions? Eldest was 5 days over and youngest arrived on her due date so I doubt Wriggler is going to arrive early and induction is definitely going to happen - I'm dreading it and its 6 weeks away!

Hi Everyone,
First time posting in here
My name is Lauren and im expecting my first baby on August 2nd, which makes me 32+4... Cant wait to see my little girl. I am so excited now.
So uncomfortable at the moment, my groin and lower back especially! Plus i know it is going to get worse as she grows! lol
Midwife has said she hasnt turned, her head is still very high up. I have decided i dont want her turned so it would be a C Section. Anyone else been in this postion at 32 weeks... Did you baby turn on their own?

Congrats Lola! And welcome Lauren!
Just realised I've not added myself to the list! Can someone add me please, as I'm on the tablet and the laptops on the blink, and I can't get it to work! Due 20th Sept, and we're team pink. TIA guys.
Lower back really sore today, quite fancy having a bath to ease it off, but scared I might not get myself back out again (and its a long day til DH gets home at 7pm!)
I've not had any physio yet, but got letter through yesterday saying my 1st appointment is at the end of July!! Really hoping they can see me sooner.0
