Happy due date, Dida!
Enjoy your pampering, Claree. I could do with a pedicure, my feet look awful at the moment, so much hard skin. I managed to paint them a couple of weeks ago and the nails still look OK, so hopefully the pink glitter is drawing attention away from the crusty bits
I thought something might be happening last night as I was woken up by my bump and back almost in a spasm. I think it was just really strong braxton hicks. It went off after a few minutes and I've not had any more, so still here and rapidly approaching the bold zone on the list.
Right, I'd better get off and take DS to soft play. Hopefully it'll wear him out so he'll have a nap this afternoon and I can chill out for a bit.

It was gross claree, it was a wee baby bird too, poor thing. I chased him out with it and he was still chewing on it when i looked out the window a few mins later. Anyone else having a permanent ache down the bottom of.their back/ bum? I haven't been able to walk properly for nearly 2weeks.Mum of 2 :j0

Enjoy your shopping (blergh!) And preening ladies!
Small update from the top spot hogger... Caught the new NICE (shock horror!) Midwife before she started her days worth of appointments... She phoned me yesterday after trying all the phone numbers on record for me (no idea how she did this, we have a bizarre community & shared care system here, she's not even attached to my hospital) & gave me a polite b0llocking. Anyway, she offered a sweep (shock horror again), I didn't believe she'd reach it but she managed & said it was a good sweep & although very posterior, can easily feel the stubborn little swines head, I'm 2cm, but 1.5cm thick.... She's hopeful ill start off naturally within 48hrs but I'm not! I'm sure this one is trouble & won't budge! So much to my surprise again, I'm booked in for starting induction on Thursday. Scary! Won't get the water birth in the birthing centre I wanted but I'm slowly accepting that now, sad though it is. Eeek. My sons going to be a big brother by weekend0 -
My first official day of maternity leave (was unpaid last week to do my other "work"!) - woohoo!
Ventured into town on my own - was waiting for a cashier in the bank for 20 mins - kept getting twinges and though "oh my god....not in HSBC..."
Hope your labours starts soon Snoz and Lola!
I have a dilemma......I really want a home birth.....so this means avoiding induction as far as I can.....so do I ask for a sweep tomorrow and hope for the best - and then I can possibly have another sweep if it doesn't work later on...and still possibly get my home birth (I know they aren't guaranteed anyway)..... I really wanted another week before baby arrived but not if it took away my opportunity of a home birth. What would others do????0 -

We found out but we're keeping it a secret, which is fun but tricky!
Congrats on the arrival of your twins conventgirl0 -

I'd ask for the sweep and hope for the home birth but then I'd rather do anything to avoid going overdue! My Debt Free Diary

Going off the current trend, I'd have the sweep and hope for the best!

Hello ladies, cant believe I am now 30 weeks eek! its getting ever closer.
I thought I better start getting a few things ready (I am the worlds least organised person I think!)
So.... anyone seen any good offers on a maxi cosi car seat or a cot matteress?? Should we trust ebay for cot mattereses if it says new??
Sending labour vibes to those who need them..... Im really feeling the effects of being pregnant these past few days... backache, heartburn, swollen feet and fingers and feeling really heavy and generally uncomfortable.... wouldnt swap it for the world thoughIf at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
Ihatedida, I would prob have the sweep if it means more chance of getting your home birth
Rum, we got a Moses basket mattress on eBay for about a fiver and it looked pretty new to me, came wrapped in cellophane so is say if your buying from a company rather than some random person u should be fine
We are holding out for a good deal on the maxi cosi cabriofix seat too! Best I've found so far is boots are doing the red one for £99.99 delivered plus double points, am sure I can find it cheaper if I'm patient though!
Hope everyone's well and come on stubborn babies!!

Ps pleased to report both me and bubs are fine after my gym ball bouncing disaster yesterday, I have a small bruise but she has been dancing around ever since so perhaps she enjoyed the ride! Daredevil baby lol0
