Ladies after Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seats - I posted about 2 weeks ago when Amazon reduced a black one to £79.99, plus if you join Amazon Family (free) you get an extra £10 off, so £69.99 delivered with Prime.
The price has since gone back up but if I see it that low again (or anywhere near) I will be sure to post on here again.
They currently have a black pebble for £100 (£90 with Amazon Family) which is cheap for that model, but I personally think the Cabriofix is a much better car seat.
!
That's a really good price for the Cabriofix - we paid about £85 for ours which I'd waited. I also think that its better than the Pebble - Which? confirmed this - I signed up to a free trial and they rate the Cabriofix as the top Group 0 car seat - in particular its the safest and it came quite a bit above the Pebble.0 -

Also should the crazy acrobatics begin to ease up as I near the end? When do they start to settle as they are too big to move about so much?
29+4
MV....Errr....I don't want to tell you this.....but mine has done completely the opposite to settling down in the latter stages.....she is now moving more than she ever has before - most notably since 36+ weeks! (when I thought she wouldn't have any room - but seems she is making room and the fact that she is now such a lump - means that she "lumps" around!!!)
Driving around calms mine down - but that costs money!!!!

Sorry to disappoint you MV, but this baby is still beating me up inside and it's due in 3 days! And that's with an anterior placenta. It's really painful at times, sometimes it seems to hit a nerve on either side of my pelvis which really makes me jump! You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0

bah..thanks guys..t'was a long shot, I feared I was in for a continual kicking for the next 10 weeks!
My placenta is posterior this time so I'm getting the full force. I do remember my bump going mental last time right at the end, like he was trying to fight his way out! I fear the same (or worse) this time.
PP mine was breech too at last MW appointment (26 weeks), I have my 30 week one on Weds so hoping she might have turned by now (certainly feels like she''s been breakdancing to me!)Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Evening everyone
not been on much as not had much to report doing quite well this pregnancy (up to now lol) I'm feeling pretty big and my back and hips ache but other than that pretty good. I'm planned to finish at 35 weeks but know for a fact I'm not gonna make it that long will probably finish at 33 weeks, I have a very manual job so working longer isn't really an option.
Congrats to all the ladies with new arrivalscan't believe how quickly im moving up the list eek!!
I've got midwife on Thursday need to remember to get matb1 then next Tuesday I'm going for a debriefing meeting at the local birth centre to discuss my last birth because it I found it really traumatic as anyone else ever done this? I've been offered an elective section but I'm really worried about the recovery after and how ill manage with a baby and a toddler, hoping this meeting can put things in perspective

I really hate this feeling... Like its about to stick a leg out with great force! Although its marginally better than the horrid heavy feeling I get occasionally, I think it decides to sit as low as possible and boot me in the bladder!
Does anyone know at what point I should be concerned that its breech? I'm only 28wks so no need yet but I like to be prepared and I'm not particularly prepped for a caesarean. (Midwife said knowone delivers breech birth naturally "these days", despite me saying they must do somewhere). If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -

We do! There have been at least 3 vaginally delivered breech babies in my local NHS trust over the last year that I know of. All of our medics, midwives and MSWs have to go on a special training day for maternal emergencies which involves delivering breech and shoulder dystocia as well as managing eclampic fits and massive PPH. It's not the preferred option but it can definitely be done.
Having said all that, hopefully it won't be an issue for you - baby has lots of time to turn and there are things you and your midwife can do to help in the mean time :grouphug:

'm no longer hogging top spot. My very tiny second son literally flew into the world in an insane labour that only started at 7pm, last night, at 11.45pm on 10th June 2013, Louie Ellis was born weighing 5lb 15oz at nearly 40+10. We were discharged within 3hrs & he's been asleep at home by my bed ever since. Really need to wake him for a feed but he's so peaceful. I however have been awake all night with adrenalin & after pains. So tired!
Good luck everyone (esp Snoz) I very much recommend a sweep, raspberry leaf tea capsules and midwife led delivery units x x0
