I take it I shouldn't be overly concerned by the fact she thought she was quite big? I don't take too much stock in these things but I don't want a huge baby either :rotfl:

I wouldn't worry - I'm sure they'll just be keeping an eye on the growth. Maybe you've just had a growth spurt and it will slow down again...

They seem to get it wrong all the time anyway - there's only so much they can tell by feeling and measuring your bump. I'd rather have a bit of a chubba than a tiny one

A midwife told me DS was a "good size" after having a feel. He was 9lb 4oz, so quite big but not massive. I imagine if she thought your baby was big enough to be concerned about, she'd refer you for a scan.

Baby is going nuts today, she just won't settle down. I'm getting loads of hicks too, not a comfortable combination. Going to soak in the bath and watch TV as I have work later

A work colleague of mine had a baby a few weeks ago 4lb 12oz. I honestly wouldn't know what to do with such a tiny baby, I think I'd be scared of breaking it. Give me a chubby chunkster any day! :D

I have a feeling mine will be quite big too. Both me and hubby were big babies and I have been measuring 1cm ahead at every appointment so far.

I don't mind really, I just hope she fits into her newborn stuff for at least a while, it's so pretty :-)

When does swelling usually start happening? This morning my foot felt a bit tingly and I'm wondering if its time to take my rings off :-/

I've been wearing my rings on a necklace for a few weeks now, I'm terrified of having to get them cut off!
