Big hugs BCS - I can't imagine what you're going through at the moment. Is Harrison's dad around to look after him, or any family who live locally? Any close friends who could step in to help? Could a relative come to stay with you? I expect you've thought of all of these options yourself anyway. Wish I were closer to lend a hand.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • My oh is Harrison's dad too.

I have family but they work full time so I wouldn't expect them to take time off work for me although if they had to I know they would.

I feel bad for Harrison as he's had his dad for a year but Harvey (bump) won't have that. :(

I'm sure i'll be fine, the same thing happened when I was in my 20's my oh walked out on me when our 1st son was 18 months old & I was 36 weeks pregnant with our 2nd. I've never seen or heard from him since that day so i'm pretty much expecting that to be the case this time round too.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

BCS - Really sorry to hear that. It must be an awful time to be going through a break up. Is there no chance your OH will have Harrison? If he won't be at the birth now perhaps he could do that for you.

  • Oh my BCS so sorry to hear that. I'm guessing it didn't end amicably? Will he still want to be involved? I'm sure if you've family nearby they'll want to help out. I can't really think of any practical advice, you must be in a bit of shock and scared of the unknown. Hope we can be of some comfort and support to you.

Went for my hospital appt this afternoon. Very empty so guess a lot of people must be away, was seen pretty much seen on time! He thought now that I mainly use a wheel chair my risk of a blood clot has increased so maybe I should have daily blood thinning injections as a precaution. I must have given thousands to patients so I wasn't too fussed. The consultant disagreed and suggested some sexy stocking instead. I did ask if he'd seen the hot weather. Needless to say its doubtful I'll be wearing them.
They want another growth scan in four weeks so should have kept my original appointment for 20th August that they tried to fob me off with for ydays scan! Anyway drs were happy with everything.

Cankles I'm sad to announce my feet have started to swell :( not hugely just under the toes they're a bit puffy and a little around my ankles. I'm am therefore joining the Cankles club!

Going to our second antenatal class tonight. So going to whizz up some bacon butties now for a quick tea. Not sure what we're going to be up to. Hope those also going to classes tonight have fun.

Hugs to those that need them, wishing lots of labour vibes to those that need them. Hope you all have a good evening xxx

(((hugs BCS))) was it totally out of the blue? My hubby has been a huge pain recently as people on here know, but I second seeing what his limits are - i.e. if he is expecting to stay around and help. Are your older children able to help at all?

I've forgotten most things but congrats sa-ra-ra and bye to twinklie, hope your OH is lovely to you after all this time apart! I got a great taggie blanket in the post today, £2 from one of the facebook groups - I love it :) hate being a casual worker, being 36 weeks tomorrow I'd love to be being paid to be on holiday leave before maternity but instead I'm working up to 10th August when I'm 38.5 weeks - the work is okay but the drive in and home, ickyyyy. antenatal classes start next weds at 37 weeks, though bubs has been moving in odd positions today, hoping I'm starting to engage, will see what midwife says Friday. We are off to London on the weekend so am trying to get a hospital bag together and we are putting nursery furniture in finally as the painting is done... scary!

hope everyone is okay in the heat, oo and hello the newbies, lots of names I'm recognising from the TTC board, hopefully we will clear that board by the end of the yr :D xx
