Just wondering if you know how long it takes for AAT to sort your registration out? I want to take my first exam on 23rd of May but have only just sent my letter out today..can't even book it untill I have my AAT number :(

I have also just been looking at the booking forms and it *seems* (though im not sure!) you can take the exams even if you study with someone else...so I am going to be looking into if I can just buy the books on Ebay and do the exams?! The course cost me £130 (without exam fees) for this module but except for the mock exams online which will probally be really helpful everything I need is in these books I can get off ebay for probally under £20  It would really help me out if I could just get away with exam fees & book fees for now..:o And seems like such a waste of money as an extra £100 basicly for mock exams...

Thanks for your support guys, been to see my boss this morning and he is so supportive.I missed out on the pass mark by 2.5 marks! So he is hoping he can swing something for me. We'll see.
When our friends had a new baby this year I bought their toddler a present and made a big fuss of him when we went for the first visit. The thought of having both baby and toddler must be scary but people who've done it do tend to advise it and that is probably what we'll do given our ages -me 32 OH 41 when baby arrives..But being preggo is tiring and awkward enough without trying to look after a little one so I take my hat off to you ladies :)
Claree I think every policy is different, like we currently just have a Buildings insurance on our new house cos we haven't moved in but will soon change it to contents also..

Its a ratty old garage door which needs replacing anyway, along with the front door, but we just don't have the money at the mo :(

Hugs nene, the hormones are a b!tch!

Met my new midwife today and she seems fine. Even called the hospital to double check that they won't let me use the low risk unit because of my medical history, since I want a water birth and the medical unit only has one pool. No joy, so I just have to hope the one pool is free.

My bump is measuring 2 weeks behind, which is a coincidence as I had exactly the same thing with DS at about this stage. She's not concerned though as she said it feels like it's all baby in there. I'm not concerned as DS was 9lb 4oz, despite my measuring behind :p I guess the "all baby" comment means I'm due another big 'un though :o

Big respect to you, having a baby and toddler and a DH who works away, missymoo. I'm quite lucky as DS will still be going to his childminder while I'm on maternity leave, so I'll be getting a break from looking after 2 at once.

Hugs nene. I know the bursting into tears thing only too well. I travelled home on the tube from C.London on Tuesday evening and no one offered me their seat even though I am clearly pregnant. I was really cross but also felt like crying.

Will your DS be in childcare full time BB? My DS will be keeping his Monday-Weds childcare arrangement, so itll only be 2 days a week I'll have to wrestle a baby and toddler.

    Still seems daunting!

I have to say that compared to some, my pregnancy is relatively easy. I have the usual aches and pains but nothing like some of you girls (PP I really sympathise).

I went to the park with DS this morning to feed the ducks and let him enjoy the sun a bit, and the stupid sandals I bought him yesterday from Clarks are too bl00dy big for him. I told the woman who measured his feet that tey were too big and he was a 6, but she insisted on a 7 so I stupidly went along with it..wish Id stuck to my guns.

Halfway round the park he started hobbling and complaining, and so I had to carry him back to the car...NOT easy. He weighs A TON :(

The sandals are going back tomorrow!

Yes, DS will be going to to the childminder 4 days a week, so that's only 1 day a week I'll have to look after both. Surely I can cope with that!

Boo about the sandals. We had that with a pair from Russell & Bromley when DS was first walking. They changed them no problem though when I took them back, so hopefully Clarks will do the same.

They'd better do, or there'll be trouble!

I can't see that they couldn't to be honest. Yes he has worn them out today, but it was the stupid shop assistant that sold me the wrong size. I have the receipt/box etc. I only want to exchange them for a 6.5.

The childcare thing is going to be expensive, particularly here in London, but it's essential as far as I'm concerned. I think DS needs consistency and also I will be more limited in what we can do, so at least at nursery/the childminder he'll still be getting lots of activities and stimulation.
