That's my plan. I get £500 funding through SAAS but the course is £1,500 at college unfortunately. The plan is to apply for part qualified jobs from January onwards so by the time I'm due to go back from Mat Leave (May) I'll have found one.

Ok so officially 37 weeks today, honestly don't know how I'm going to get through the next 3 weeks, I'm exhausted, my stomach hurts as it is so stretched, I can Only walk at a snails pace and I feel like I need a wee constantly!
Desperately want the baby to come in the next few days. So far today I have been on 2 bumpy bus rides, I've walked:waddled miles. I've had a v hot pasta for lunch and I've walked up several flights of stairs, will even try sex tonight. OH will be pleased lol. Anything else worth trying? Oh I think I might have a good old bounce on my ball and maybe unpack my hospital bag just to tempt fate. I really feel for you ladies who are also suffering!0 -
But on a happier note - only 14 more working days (including today) to go! :T
Though I'm working to 37+1 and my Mum pointed out last night that she had my brother 3 weeks early and my sister 5 weeks early  I better get all of that baby stuff washed!!
Me too BB! 14 days and counting!:T I am working in normal day job until 37+4 and then some work from home until my due date! (hopefully!). I haven't packed a hospital bag, nor sorted a birthing pool nor have I washed anything yet - oops! Baby had better not be early as I am far from being ready!;)0 -
I have another two weeks at work. I finish a few days before my 38th week. We had our first parenting class today and the girls looked at me in horror when I told them that. I was the furthest gone and they had already started their mat leave. Each to their own lol0

But you will be smiling more as at the end of your maternity leave - they will have already gone back to work - and you can still be sitting with one hand holding baby and the other holding a glass of vino!!!!:D0 -

I did ask on the benifit fourms but didnt get replys about this!Sorry just trying to work out budget.
No, they're not. It's still paid on a weekly basis - same as the family element. Obviously you need to find the money upfront for the 1st set of childcare fees but the rest of the months work out as normal. Hope that helps.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

I work from home permanently, but am still finishing a bit early just so I've got some time to get organised - trying to get anything done at the weekends with a toddler "helping" is a nightmareI haven't packed a hospital bag or washed anything either. I need to get onto that soon - I'm currently in full-on nagging mode to get DH to paint the spare room ready to move DS in, so I can then get the nursery organised for the baby.

Lol! I worked up to 39+3, but my LO was 40+10 (or 41+3!). I had a gut feeling that I would be over, don't know why. I wanted to spend as much time with my LO as I could and my 1st pregnancy went very well. A little bit tired, but apart from that I was still very mobile and quite spritely! Not sure about this time round as I'll have a 19/20 mth old little girl in tow. I'll probably work just shy of 40 weeks again.
I have bought some newborn reusable nappies, I must be mad I'll have two in cloth under 2 years old!!Got married 13/11/10
