There's no need for any of you to suffer with heartburn. It's an inevitability in pregnancy unfortunately but if it's very bad to the point that you struggle to sleep or you feel very miserable and uncomfortable there are perfectly safe drugs for you to take. I don't mean gaviscon which isn't terribly effective and can make you feel very icky if you're feeling nauseous. There are better drugs than that which your GP can prescribe - namely omeprazole.

I'd urge anyone who's really suffering to pay their doctor a visit.

I've only had heartburn with 3 of mine.. not had any with this one yet.. though I did wake in the night feeling very bloated and a bit queasy.

I LOVE mint gaviscon.. but settlers tums do the job too

  • I'm aching like an achy thing today, round my lower back and sides. You forget about the niggles until they come back and bite you on the ar5e!

Got my scan at 2.30 this afternoon. Hoping for 100% confirmation of which team we are!

What do they think you're having and what does the result on Bounty say MV?

  • They have said on 2 occasions it is a girl nene :)

The scanning equipment at my hospital is really good apparently, and they can see a lot of detail early. Apparently the way the bladder lies is a big indicator, and at my 12 week scan they said 70% girl.

    Bounty said girl too!

I never thought about having a girl for some reason. Just presumed as I have a boy already it'd be another!

Of course a pair of testicles could present themselves today!:rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'll join the cankles group too... even if a day late!
Feet are puffy and uncomfy, but I've a pedicure booked later bought as a mummy to be treat from my friends, am keeping them up at the mo so she doesn't just look at them and go "Whoa". Which ironically is what my MW did when she looked at my bump yesterday. I've 2 mw and although I think most of the time they alternate their clinics I saw the 1st one booking in (who actually I've known through work, so not an unfamiliar face) then ever since the other one. Back to the 1st one yesterday and she was glad to catch up and I fed back my big baby news, but no concerns. She seemed fairly non-plussed, then said, right, we'll measure bump, I lifted my top and she just said "whoa, oh mate!" (in a kind of sympathetic way).
Being my 1st I've not known what to expect, so to me my bump seemed quite normal. It's not that big, but she said it's just all baby, solid, especially at the top. There is enough fluid etc, but she said baby is still no where near engaged (38 +3) so I've got a wait yet. She thinks it very likely I would go overdue, but doesn't think the consultant will let me go too far, looks like it might be section for me depending how the 40+3 scan goes.

Getting more impatient now though, as I get more uncomfy, sleeping less well, I'm just wanting to meet it. (DH not faring well with me getting up 2-3 times in the night either, the comment of "it'll get worse" doesn't seem welcome either!)

We've not really done names. Had a bit of a chat at the beginning so got a rough one of each, but nothing too set. Especially now I don't think we can have a cutesy name as it's going to be a bit of a bruiser.

Fingers crossed with the weird pains Helen, you might not be needing to wait for your section next week.
No posts off Chonorla today, this could be a good sign?

Keep us posted if it really is team pink MV.

    Keep well ladies,

I didn't even bother looking at the clothes 'cause I'm currently feeling like a whale but I have my pointer hovered over that cream bag. Gonna check it's the same size as the black one and go for it if it is. It's for baby!

ETA: I'm not sure why I'm torturing myself with this but I seen a gorgeous dress in a magazine this weekend from very.co.uk and I can't find it on the website, it's driving me nuts!

Not logged in for a while, but have been keeping up with people's posts. Went for my 20w scan a couple of weeks ago. We resised the urge to ask what team we are in. The bounty gender guesser was telling me I was team blue back in Feb, but as I've had a Birthday since I'm now team pink lol. We have loads of girls names but hardly any boys names and none that we can both firmly agree on. A boy it is then I guess!!

Can I be added to the list please. I'm the 24th August. Thanks
