Oh god my spd is playing up , doing the school run , really really hurt ,
My insides really hurt aswell, I just don't wanna move today but have got housework todo...
My husband is working only 160 miles away today , so I better not go into labour or I think I would just cry! As I really do need him with me.

I have also come to a decision last night that I want to be sterilised , does ne one know if they do this on the nhs? And if there is ne rules etc , I really don't want ne more children after this one. My husband turn round last night and said he don't want the snip , I blame his mum on this as she keeps saying what happens if thing don't work out etc, even Though she made her ex husband have it done after number 3. Just wondered if ne one knows?
    Thanks xxx

helen - DH is having the snip after this one (yes yes I am still here waiting......) No idea about sterilisation though?

Am going to have a sweep in half an hour - changed my mind about an hour ago, as have had enough now lol. Not holding out much hope as I do not know anyone that it has worked for, but am getting desperate now as really do not want another induction.

    Have a good ladies xx

They are usually reluctant to do it if you are under 30 but will if you nag and of course they do it on the NHS .. recovery is about 3-4 days.

TBH I know a few people who have had lots of problems after having the snip.. some many years later. The only issue with sterilisation is it seems to have a not too pleasant effect on periods and has made them heavier and more painful for many ladies I know. I also know 2 people who got pregnant after sterilisation.. one of them after she was sterilised twice!! It is still not 100%.. but darn close!

Afternoon ladies :) Hope you're all enjoying some sunshine today; amazing what a difference the light can make.

    Hope you're all well today?

Helen, hope that you were able to take it a little easy during the day and are feeling slightly better now.
Chonorla, hope that your sweep will do the trick.
neneromanova, on the plus side, you get an extra peak at baby! Hope baby co-operates on the next scan.

As for me, took a LONG walk yesterday - nothing. Been bouncing on my ball today (whilst working on a jigsaw puzzle) - nothing so far. I will keep bouncing and hoping and plan another long walk tomorrow.

Slightly off topic, but those with children already, have any of you done a canal boat holiday with baby? My folks will be coming over shortly (as soon as the main bits of my sister's estate are tied up) and whilst here would like to do a holiday with us. They have some holiday points that they can exchange for a week on a canal boat. Baby would be about 4 months old? Any big concerns or issues?

    take care,
    Saf xx
  • Can i be added to the list please im due 28th Sept.
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

My parents went on one when I was about 9 months old.. 2 weeks on a boat with a fat lazy baby who did nothing.. I started walking the first day.. at 4 months old you might be ok.. my grandson was crawling at about 14 weeks though.. very very early, but he was off.

Dear all, I will try and catch up with the thread in a bit but I hope everyone is keeping well.
AFM, well it has certainly been an emotional rollercoaster the last few days to say the least.
Not wanting to go into any detail I am THRILLED to say we are now back on track and our baby girl is due 11th May!!!!!!!! She has certainly been making her presence felt today.
Thank you all for your words of support.
At the moment words cannot express how we are both feeling. XXX

!!!!!! had a long post reply and phone ate it.

Choronla yay on a boldie and #1! I remember it well.... My sweep was successful (well i was 17 days over by then so it may just have been time). I had also had 3 sets of acupuncture. You can refuse induction too.

Saffa i'm on holiday with my 4 month old atm. Only problems i could see is if he's a bad sleeper and cries all night how would the others cope? Also where would he sleep and how would you carry him about (if it's a girl just ignore me, i have a boy so he comes naturally!). For us we have a good sleeper luckily and we cosleep so he sleeps wherever i do. Also we use a sling to carry him around. We went on holiday with him when he was just over 2 months and again around 3 months too (to sa) and he's a pretty good traveller.
