I hated using a cotton wool roll, there was nothing I found worse that trying to break more off if I needed more in the middle of changing a bum , I found the balls a lot better. I could just grab a handful and be done.

We use water on the meconium it was fine just make sure you use plenty of water.

tut.... amateur lol... you fill an empty bag with bits you have already torn off you don't do it as you go along. I used a pleat first then refilled the empty bag with bits off the roll.. tore of a 3 inch strip and pulled that into 4 bits and stuffed them in the bag.. took about 5 minutes and kept us going for ages.

the balls are good for removing nail polish and nothing else.

1 wipe is easier than getting up, getting water faffing with cotton wool etc.. and a thin layer of Vaseline before they poop and it all comes straight off.

Evening all. Hope everyone is well and that bumps are behaving! My baby boy finally decided to make an appearance on the 07/04/13 at 9.35am. He was 12 days late in the end and although it was by far the worst labour I have had he and I are both fine which is the main thing.

Will update properly when I have more than 30 seconds spare! xx

    Congratulations Penguin!

Got to hospital for my GTT only to be told I don't need to have it as they've changed the policy and don't offer the test to women with PCOS. She said I could still have the test if I wanted but made it clear I'd be a massive inconvenience if I did, so I said no...and now wondering if I've done the right thing!

She did say that if I did have GD there would be other indicators which my midwife would pick up. I feel stupidly upset about it (hormones...) as she gave me about two minutes to make a very uninformed decision!

Oh well, on the plus side I get to eat something now...

Just dropping in to say congratulations penguin! Fantastic news.
As for me I must be getting into nesting mode today - sofa covers are already in the washing machine!! :-)
Just hoping to get some work finished on my kitchen in the next couple of weeks (it would also mean some valuable extra storage which at the moment is very lacking) and then I can relax and wait on my arrival.
    Take care all. X

Scan went great - except for the fact my notes were all messed up so they didn't actually know what I was there for!

Baby behaved nicely though, wriggled about a lot but got all the measurements really quickly and all look okay - thank god!

I'll post up a couple of pics soon :)

    Oooh and it's a girl :D
