Hope you are all keeping well

Ive only just managed to get online...

Noah James was born on 2nd April via emergency c section and weighed 8lbs 4oz. He was 5 days late. My waters broke at 2am sunday morning and after quite a labour i couldnt get past 5cms, he was back to back and his head wasnt engaged so they did a c section on me.

The worst part was as i was getting to 4cms as i didnt have any pain relief for a good few hours and due to Noah being back tio back i had contractions in my back aswell as my front.

We had to stay in hospital for 4 nights (longest 4 nights ever!) as Noah was slightly jaundiced and he then had tp have antibiotics via an iv as they found out via a swab during labour that i had strep b and they were worried due to my waters breaking 48 hours before he made an arrival that he may have got it.

It's lovely being home and my OH is great with him, im not looking forward to when he has to go back to worknext week. I feel really good aswell after the section-really suprised i do!!

Congrats on the scan claree, and congrats on the birth of baby Noah (love that name) Abby!

I had an impromptu scan on Monday too. Good thing about being under obsti care is I get a load of extra scans

They still reckon it's a girl, but I should know for sure at my 22 week anomolly scan next week.

Oh and I'm 40 today! :beer:

Happy birthday MV... and Bounty was right again then? I still think they are wrong with mine ! They never do extra scans here unless they convince you something is wrong.

They dildo-scanned me to check my cervix length, and then as I was on the bed already she gave me a quick tummy scan.

She said she though she could see girlie bits and 'no testicles were present' so it looks that way, but she did say that boys can suddenly present themselves so until I've had next weeks scans I won't be rushing off to buy pink!

I was told DD1 was a boy several times.. I never believe a word they say now lol. They are more often wrong and get a girl mixed up with being a boy rather than saying a boy is a girl.. if that helps?

I was offered the monthly cervix checks after number 5 was 2 months early.. and politely declined lol

Due to my baby-brain and advanced years, I'm not sure I follow the bit about boys being confused with girls or vice versa.

So are you saying they are more likely to say boy and it turn out to be a girl, or the other way around?

yes that is right. Girl bits swell with the hormones so can be confused more easily.
