lol.. no.. you have to do it yourself! My latest was my oldest and he was only 3 days over but given my cycle and knowing the exact date he was conceived it was the correct date on the nose (I ov'd CD17 not 14) My others were all 31-37 weeks. and bar 1 my waters broke before labour with them all... there was no nice trickle with mine either it was endless gushing for a while.. and why was it almost always when I was in bed?!

early.. I get bored and evict them lol

    DS2 was 4lb 9 but very short.

LOL DD1 was 4lb 15 but incredibly long for that... I got about a month out of tiny baby and even with this one - she's almost out of newborn in terms of length just like her sister was.

Annoying since 0-3 things like babygros are going to be so baggy around the body that I'll end up with an irrate ball of baby stuck inside the body part.

As for waters - first time I was leaking slowly, then sat on the loo and they just went pop and woosh... this time I was lying on the bed with them insisting I wasn't in labour and actually felt the pressure build up, had a split second to think "gonna pop here" and then they went absolutely everywhere - followed by the baby about 10 minutes max later... but I have very very strange "labours" where I basically don't dilate and just get pointless (but blooming painful) pains for a couple of hours and then suddenly go from 0cm to fully dilated in a matter of a few minutes - with a nice waters popping bit in the middle of it.
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

I have spoken to OH about sacking off the hospital and all antenatal crap and booking a private anomaly scan in the next couple of weeks to check all is ok with String Bean and just turn up at a distant hospital when it is eviction time... He didn't say I couldn't.. mind you he did say I would do whatever I wanted regardless of what he says.. sometimes I would just like him to discuss these things with me rather than just assume I cannot be reasoned with or I don't listen to him.. I do, I just don't take any notice usually :p

DS3 was 3lb 10 and really quite long (44cm) and he was in tiny baby stuff for a good 4 -5 months. DD2 also 4lb 9 (but 2g heavier than DS2!) was in them about 6 weeks.

DS2 was 41cm.. he has a growth hormone deficiency though so has always been little. He is 17 and 5ft 8 now, so still not huge.

Dot still does the vanishing baby trick in her sleepsuits at nearly 19 months.. she is rather porky but has little legs so they are sucked up into the body.

  • I rekon that I will have quite a long baby...I'm nearly 6 foot and one of the smallest in my family

Only 3 weeks and 1 day left!! I cant believe that I'm so close to meeting little squirt....MUST PACK HOSPITAL BAG!!

Oh I got my TENS machine in the post yesterday so had to try it out (you know just incase it was faulty :p) have to say its quite good, I am glad I bought it.
Yes it was £49 but I should get a lot of use out of it - my back is not the greatest even when not pregnant. And i thought i might as well spend the extra £20 and buy rather than £30 and have to return it.

Speak to you all later I'm off to get some food :)

I need to try my TENS machine out too. Just got the Boots one, so hopefully will do the job, I too didn't think it was worth the difference to hire, so just bought one, especially as ultimately hope to have more than one.

Had a great night sleep last night (best I've had in ages) as was up and spritely this morning. Doesn't seem to be any pattern at the mo.

Have you all have a good day ladies.x

I Haven't brought or every used a tens machine, just used gas and air.

I'm sleeping ok, I get up usually around 1.30 to 2 for a wee and a drink and sometimes around 5, depending on how much water I drunk when I wake up first time.
Im getting hot flushes big time at the moment .

I've woke up this morning with a mega headache and period pains, was going to go out with a friend but. Really don't feel up for it, I feel so sorry for my children I just haven't done ne thing with them in the 2weeks off, only took them to the park once and we went out Sunday for a meal.
May walk to the park later if I feel better xx

    Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA since Friday but I've been off work and haven't found the time to log on.

Got my 20 week scan this afternoon which I'm excited about but still a bit nervous but I guess that’s to be expected.

Was babysitting yesterday for my 1 year old cousin and my confidence took a bit of a knock I think. He’s had a wee cough for a few days now and was fine for the first 10 mins or so but when he realised his mum had left he wouldn’t settle for a second. He wouldn’t let me put him down to walk or sit or he’d scream with his arms up to be lifted, he wouldn’t let me sit down or he’d scream…it was exhausting! Ended up taking him out in the pram twice for an hour at a time. Felt so useless, like maybe I’m just not very good at this?

exciting news about your scan. Don't worry. I struggle with other peoples children as well. Everything will be ok once we have our own bundles of joy :)

Morning ladies (well, nearly lunchtime now...)! Hope everybody is having a good day today. Good luck to all those waiting for babies to appear soon!

The chat about waters breaking is something I hadn't really thought about.. got me wondering, has anybody bought a waterproof mattress protector for their bed? I don't want to ruin our mattress!!

Tesco baby event is on at the moment, and I just got a letter through from Asda to say their event starts on 22 April, some quite good savings by the looks of things. I've got a boring question about nappies - what sizes would you buy to start with? I've got a couple of small packs of newborn (size 1) nappies (about 50 in total) and wondering if I should get more of this size, or stock up on size 2, or just wait and see how big the baby is!! We are planning to use reusables eventually, but I want to use disposables for the first month (have been warned the poo is like tar, and trying to get it off the baby is hard enough, let alone a nappy...)

Claree - we babysat for a friend's little boy recently and had a similar experience, he is good as gold for his parents though because he knows he can't get away with demanding to be picked up all the time, but will try it on with babysitters, and it's so much harder when it's not your own child, so don't be disheartened!
