Hi All,
not really been posting on here as much as I would have liked but I am now on Mat leave :jbeing 36+5 today I really need to think about packing my hospital bag, not sure why this is taking me so long to get around too. Maybe it will mean that everything is so much more real
My plans for today are too shove the slow cooker on, clean the kitchen and put my feet up....no point over doing it on my first day lol0 -
Fun 2 weeks ahead for me.. The kitchen and bathroom are being emptied today so the new bath can be fitted on Wednesday with the old one being removed tomorrow and the flooring going down.. I need to remove a row of tiles before the plumber comes tomorrow to shift the bath.
Wednesday my new kitchen unit is coming .. to replace the 7ft larder unit which face planted on the kitchen floor shattering glass jars and allsorts all over my kitchen floor. Thursday the builder is coming to start repairing the kitchen ceiling which means the kitchen has to be empty of all the stuff I don't want covered in filth as 1/4 of the ceiling is coming down  That should see this week out..
I have 8 chests of drawers to sort through over the weekend so goodness knows how much to deposit at charity shop.. then finishing off the bedrooms and retile the bathroom. The kitchen unit needs building and I have an Ikea delivery Wednesday so that will require more erecting and then sorting of books. DD2 is getting stacking crates so she can store her gubbins under her bed. It also means I can evict Dot out of my bedroom and go collect the crib etc back from DD1's
I have my anomaly scan the week after so by the time the house is straight it will be about here and I can then spend 3 months knitting lol... in theory!!!
I have now spent 5 days pretty much unable to walk so this should be most interesting.. so if anyone wants to help?!
I need to locate all the tiny baby stuff as well and see how little we have left from the other 2, cry because it is going to cost lots to replace it and then start shopping! Oh.. and I need a new car seat.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Good morning all. Hope everyone is feeling well. The sunshine over the weekend was lovely and I had some special one to one time with OH on Saturday and DD1 yesterday. Unfortunately I have a dentist appointment in a couple of hours, at least I don't have to pay!
I have just started having to get up during the night to go to the loo. I think I am lucky to have made it this far. At least it will get me back in practise for when the little one arrives.
I am having a midwife home visit on Friday, not sure what to expect, does anyone know?
Have a lovely day. Take things easy everyone. X0 -

Would really love som warmth tho, feel so pale!
Glad you've had one good day Saffagal. It'l be ups and downs i guess. But try and be positive.
Welcome fluffysox! Congrats. Ooh 9lb 10! wowzers!!
Aaah we are in Mold and we had nearly 3 foot of the blinking stuff! My Renault Clio disappeared over half way and we couldn't even get in our 7 seater people carrier!!! We still have huge piles of the stuff everywhere - and 2 snowmen in the back garden who seem intent on staying
Come on sunshine!!!!
Well I am 39+3 today and have just seen the Consultant. They have made the final decision to NOT induce me until I am overdue by 10 days. She got a second opinion from the other Consultant and they said as I have previously delivered 3 large babies naturally, they are happy for me to go ahead and wait!! They both seem to think I am looking at another nearly 10 lber, but feel I will manage the birth fine again
So that is it, fingers crossed he does try to make an appearance in the next 2 weeks before the induction and I will be doing my best to help him alongAlthough am pretty sure they only arrive when they want to! But am glad induction is a last option to be honest.
The last bit of advice they gave me, was to tell my husband to drive fast when I think I am in labor! I took less than an hour last time, and as I live half an hour away from the hospital, they said I have no time to waste getting there :rotfl: No kidding eh!
So could everyone keep there fingers crossed for me that baby is an acceptable size and will at least give me chance to get to hospital
Good luck with all the DIY ing that is going on. All we have left to do is a new toilet seat and a second coat on one of the kitchen walls. I am sure baby will approve when he arrives
Am off now to do a couple of hours of my assignment as this evening will be spent vigorously bouncing on my birthing ball trying to get baby to drop a little :T

Oooh fingers crossed for you.
We'll see how giant both our babies are. Been washing the 0-3 hand me downs today as suspect there is very little need for the newborn!

exactly the same boring stuff they do when you go to them.. bp, urine etc.
I had one turn up unannounced today.. she screwed my entire day so far and hopefully not the week. I have now decided I am not going to have any contact at all with them.. if they turn up I am turning them away.. I've had enough.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Lazywife - Lol - I have never had a baby that has worn anything newborn. Mine do about 2-3 weeks in 0-3 then I have to put them in 3-6 months because they are so long :rotfl: Next are a generous fit so they sometimes last a little longer.
Fingers crossed for us both xxxxx0 -
