Met V... My OH is about as romantic and affectionate as a crab with rabies.. I have managed 1 hug since finding out about this one.. hanky panky hasn't occurred in months.. I feel like the house keeper! I don't think you are wrong to feel pee'd off with that. I'm 40 this year too as you know and you know what... I don't care.. It really makes no difference .. other than being a hormone riddled loon at the moment do you really feel any different to how you did 10 or 20 years ago?? I don't and I think that is more important. My life now is so much richer and I am so much more confident and happy than I was all those years ago. I have my many blessings and life isn't all bad. I have so much more in it now than I did all those years ago I wouldn't go back and redo it if you paid me!

As for moving house.. those that are.. I moved house on the Monday at 33 weeks pregnant and had DD2 on the Saturday... that was great fun!

I can't compare with birth weights mine were all early bar 1 so tiddlies by comparison.

Hello can I join please x expecting baby number 2; due date is 15th October.
First trimester was troubled with various ailments from thrush to shingles. Have generally felt tired but have not really had morning sickness, only occasionally for seconds, relieved by sitting down. Last time I had to eat every couple of hours to stop nausea so I haven't put on as much weight this time thankfully. Hoping as the second trimester brings better health and less fatigue.
DS was 9lb 10 so ended up being an emergency c-section. I haven't decided yet whether to choose an elective section or try for normal birth yet. But less weight gain this time is probably a good sign?

MV- I have literally in the past few days become a spotty teenager- little spots all over my chest! Hormones
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.
    MFW OPd 2014 £2000 2013 £9700 2012 £2848.39 2011 £2509.58 2010 £11000 2009 £112002008 £4939 :D
Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013 :)

Can I just ask if anyone has used this during pregnancy?

It's a bit ambiguous on the leaflet just saying to 'exercise caution' with it if pregnant or breastfeeding, and speak to a GP before using it. I Googled a lot last night too and there seemed to be no definitive answer. Some people avoid it, and some don't.

I have been feeling so awful the last couple of days having caught one of my sons continuous bugs from nursery, and I haven't been able to sleep at nights as my sinuses have been so painful and blocked.

I caved in last night about 3am as I just wasn't able to sleep and its not helping me get better, and oh my goodness the relief! I do feel a bit bad, but Im justifying it by thinking it can't be great to be not sleeping and exhausted all the time, plus I only had a couple of sprays of it and I'm not planning on using it much.

Just wondered if anyone else is using it?

It sucks so badly that all we can have is paracetamol and hot honey and lemon, both of which do bog all IMO!

I don't know so I just nipped onto the baby centre website and it suggested using a steam bath (head over a bowl of hot water) or asking the chemist for a salt spray.

I really don't envy you. I have had a few colds whilst preggo and, it was awful. We can't even have strepsils! :(

    Rubbish isn't it snoz!

I shall certainly try the steam bowl.

My son seems to bring home EVERYTHING from his nursery, and whilst he seems to get over them fairly quickly, I always seem to get the full on adult version!

Try adding a drop of olbas oil to the steam bowl but don't put it on your skin. Apparently, we can do that.

Oh it's awful being ill when preggo! You really do have my sympathies.

I have used vicks sinex in most of my pregnancies, I have also used the boots cold and flu tablets and strepsils extra.. basically, I use the same stuff when I am pregnant as when I am not. For the miniscule amount that will enter the bloodstream and the even tinier amount that may or may not cross to the baby I'll take the risk because me feeling like crap is more risky!

It is basically not licensed to use because they haven't tested it that doesn't mean it is unsafe to use which is completely different. This is the case with most meds.

Hallo ladies and welcome to the new ones!

I can't believe how I've crept up the list... It is amazing though how a little sunshine makes everything seem a little better. This past week has been so grey and dismal here I've felt thoroughly down. Even a day out with my sister-in-law and her little ones (2 and 1) yesterday didn't help to lift my spirits much. Today - the sun is shining, it feels lovely and warm (when you're in the sun) and everything looks much brighter.

DH has mown the lawn for me - well, I said I'd do it (may help baby along being my thinking) and that got him up and doing it ever so quickly! What a difference it makes - and whilst he did that I did some tidying in the garden :)

Hope that its a lovely sunny day where you are too,
    take care

The sun makes loads of difference, two days of being in the garden with no coat on is great!!
Just wish I could help more with our garden, our garden is like a football pitch , we have had to section one half of at the moment so we can concertante on getting this section done so it's safe for the kids to play in and do the rests when it comes to it.

I still can not walk or bend over now proply and putting on my shoe is impossiable , as my left top of thigh /goin area is giving me a lots of problems, I have heard its some thing to do with my pelvic and hips widening, got a midwife appointment on Thursday so will check, but its never happen before.
I'm so glad I've only got two weeks now:)

Bath and bed, I'm sooo tired tonight x
