    Claree-why do you think that??

Since I told them I was pregnant I've not been trained on anything else (I've been here 5 months now) and now the accounts dep't and the ops dep't (where I am) are merging. Everyone else has been trained on accounts and the 2 accounts girls have been trained on ops...and I've been just sitting here.

    welsh comic -
i moved at the beginning of last month, but ive been very lucky me and the kidies stayed at my husband parents house for 10 days, as we couldnt live there as it was unlive able to ne one. but its nearly done now after a lot of very hard work and time by my husband.
you do need to start packing now as its better to be ready than rushing around in the last week.

mv- dont you just love hormmones ! one day im a monster to be with, even dont wanna be around myself, the next day im great.

cant help you with your birthday and turning 40, im only 28,
3 of my best friends turn 40 this year!cant wait 3 big nights out!! ive always hanged around with older people, all my friends apart from the old few are over 35!

why dont you just ask your manager, if your going to get trained up , no point in beating around the bush, at least you will know then!

I asked last week what I should do with my billing and he said just give it to him - so it's pretty clear that I'm not. I need to be here another 4 weeks to qualify for maternity so I hope I'm here 'till at least then anyway!

I don't think they'd get rid of me though, it'd be pretty obvious why they were doing it which could get them into trouble but who knows? I keep trying to speak to him about it but I dunno what to say!

Could you approach it a bit differently by saying 'as the accounts and ops depts are merging, I'd like to have some accounts training so that I am ready for the new role' (or something like that) to show that you want to stay, intend on returning after maternity leave, etc. If you are proactive and show that you are making plans to be part of the team in the future, they might be more likely to train you. If you are not raising the issue they might think you are not interested in coming back after maternity leave, so no point in investing in training you now?

Dippydooda - I hoping it will be 6 months but who knows how long things take to go through!!! I live in sunny Barry!!! OH half is plumber and central heating engineer, so I have all his c**p all over the house, constantly falling over things!!! We have no dining room full of racking with boxes over the floor but I refuse to touch it and rather just shout at him about it!!! Hence why we need to move!!!! might get some packing done on the weekend!!!

Hey , ah sounds like a nightmare but you have plenty of time. It's a bit stressful when i actually think that i need to move into a house and get it ready for a baby in less than 3 months plus the house still doesn't have a bathroom or is nowhere near decorated! But we are not selling our flat at the moment so i guess there's no pressure to get everything out!
Oh I'm in North wales, sunny here too;)

In sunny N Wales too! Thank goodness the snow is going now - come on sun get rid!!!

Good luck to all those moving - I moved house during all 3 of my other pregnancies (one on my induction date - I left one house and came back to the new one!) - this is the first one I have stayed put and it has been heaven for me :). But do love a house move - new baby and new house - can't beat it :)
