Love all the chat about names - I'm now sitting going "Charlotte...charlotte...Lottie..." after saying I didn't like it! I don't want a name that ends with the "ae" sound because our surname ends with that. I know that's just being picky lol.
Got my rings back, they're so shiney! My Debt Free Diary

I liked Aoife (ee-fa) but it's very like Eve which is my baby cousin's (okay, she's 4) name. That and OH said it sounded stupid. Hmph.My Debt Free Diary

Lol. Alfie is my pet hate! Really sweet for a little boy but, as you say, not good for a grown man.
We're still trying to think of a middle name. I like Luke but DH, who is a huge Star Wars nerd, isn't keen because he doesn't want his friends to think he's named his child after Luke Skywalker. I just think it's a nice name that goes well with Oliver and with our surname. I'll just have to keep working on him...
I just wish people would consider their child as an adult with a baby name before giving their child it.. I loved Daisy for DD2, the got it as a middle name because it sounds silly on an adult IMO.
LOL... Squeaks initials are FTW.. for those non-gamer geeks this is abbreviated 'for the win' ... so Luke would be fine lol. You could always try Lucas?? (Just avoid George as a middle name) or Luca.. I really like Luca.I liked Aoife (ee-fa) but it's very like Eve which is my baby cousin's (okay, she's 4) name. That and OH said it sounded stupid. Hmph.
Aoife and Eve are quite similar I'd avoid it.
A family friend had a beautiful girlfriend called Evalotta ... she was about 10ft 2 and 1/2 an inch wide.. and Dutch I believe.. but it is a pretty name.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

why is it that when you know someone with a name who you think is a little rat bag you just hate that name after when someone suggest it.
my mother in law keeps saying i love the name lenny, well she can love the name all she wants to, i think it awful and just reminds me of keith lemon and i cant stand him either!!

I have an 'A' and an 'E' though so can't have either.. I think it is very important for them all to have different initials for the sake of future mail!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I am only doing one wall in that paper-it's a bit pricey! Martin wouldn't be happy with me! Then the rest white, so BB i reckon if you did one wall with the stars then the opposing wall with the decals that should work?
I tried to add Tabitha to my list a few wks ago but there was a lot of face-pulling whenever I mentioned it, then i got to thinking about it being shortened to Tabby. Clare there's a welsh verson Eirlys but it's pronounced Ayrlis which is quite pretty.0 -

My best friend is Aisiling, I love it but not keen on naming tiny human "after" someone. I agree regarding initials - I know it's completely besides the point but when I heard the story yesterday about the 6 poor kids that were killed in that fire and they all had really similar names I thought it was so odd.My Debt Free Diary
