Me too! :) We might bump into each other at some appointment or another! :rotfl: Have you been up there yet? I have been for two scans and am going in a couple of weeks for Anti-D. Haven't seen the delivery suites (apart from online) but it seems like a nice hospital. It is VERY warm though. I'll need to remember to take a lightweight dressing gown!

I've been in a couple of times but only to the Mat Assessment for a UTI, Anti-D and then my panic last week. Oh and the time they took blood but labeled it wrong so I had to go back the next day and give it again, that was fun :rotfl:Got my 20 week scan on the 9th but I have no idea where to go, I'm hoping there'll be someone on reception to tell me!

Anti-D stings like hell. I felt so silly whimpering about it when the woman beside me was clearly in early labour though!

    Afternoon gang.

Just wanted a quick show of hands re a couple of girls names I am considering. !

Lola - but only cos' its my dogs name!!! (that will probably put you off now!:D).

I actually like names that can't easily be shortened so hence Lola it is!

I have had a girls name from around 6 weeks (!) - I found it on a grave stone in my local cemetary!!!! Won't reveal yet....but if it was going to be a boy it was going to be Finlay!

Lovecake - my whooping cough jab was worse than my anti-D - my arm felt bruised for over a week with the whooping cough one and actually hurt more - anti-D was like a gnat sting - over with quickly!

We are still in the process of our house renovations - but I reckon we should all take a nursery shot when we have finished our nurseries and upload - I love looking at how people have decorated ;) (call me nosy!) - I luuurve the wall stickers - was thinking of getting some ONCE nursery has a floor....and paint!!! (oops...maybe we're leaving it a bit late....!)

I had MW appointment today and my belly measured "spot on" apparently which was reassuring as I feel HUGE!

Hallo ladies, hope that you're all well.

I'm doing better thank you; I think in some ways it will hit me again when I go home later in the year as my sister has always been back home as it were. I think too, when my parents come over that will be another milestone. They're planning to come now in May, as there are things to sort out regarding my sister's estate before they come, and then go home again in Sept. My sister's birthday is the 1st Sept and I think they want to be here for this year to make it easier.

We did our nursery in the Very Hungry Caterpillar theme as it is neutral, but the colours are bright. I uploaded some pics to this thread a good few weeks back. I used wall stickers so can easily change it at a later date.

I can't believe I'm now over 37 weeks and baby really could come at any point. I'm glad to have reached "term" as it were. Saw my in-laws and some of sister and brother in laws yesterday and some of them couldn't believe baby could come any time now. We took a bump photo over the weekend and couldn't believe how big bump has gotten in the last three weeks when we'd taken the previous photo! No wonder I'm feeling like an elephant and struggling to get off the sofa!

    take care ladies
    Saf xx

Hi all, hope everyone and bumps are OK. Am 28 weeks tomorrow, madness! Have got mw appt tomorrow for whooping cough jab and have got bloods to get done. Then antid jab on the 18th. Loving all the chat about names, we like Charlotte, Zara or Ellie and only one name for a boy, Luke. I love James as its my grandads name but one of my friends named her wee boy that and she would be petty enough to say I copied her. Seriously.

Love all the wall stickers, we prob won't do anything drastic to ours until bubs is ready to sleep in there on their own.

I've just had all my annual leave approved which leaves me with approx 16 working days, yay :j That should give me enough time to sleep and study as this baby doesn't like afternoons!

The name we love is actually in the girl's top ten which really bothers me but locally its not as popular so unless I can persuade OH on my second name choice, which I doubt, then she'll just have to stand out in other ways! :D

Aw no, I've got mine tomorrow :( Better ask for it in my left arm as I need to do a fair amount of writing for my job.

Glad your MW appointment went well.

Minimuffin, my DS would have been an Ellie if he'd been a girl :) Well, he'd have officially been an Eleanor, but we always intended to shorten it.

I like names that can be shortened, perhaps because I'm known by the shortened form of my name - I just like that you can give a child a nice name that suits a them when they are a child, but it can grow with them if they want something a bit more grown-up sounding when they are older. If that makes any sense at all!

I think Oliver is in the top 3 boys names. Ideally I'd prefer something not so common, but haven't come across anything I like nearly as much so we're just going to go with it.

    .

Thank you BB! With regards to the whooping cough jab - the jab doesn't hurt (and I am a complete wuss!) - its afterwards - it leaves the top of your arm rather sore (or it did mine!).

We've chosen a boys name and a girls name a few months ago - both of which can be abbreviated as we prefer names that can (both of our names can be shortened which perhaps makes a difference); we've not shared them with anyone. One of my sister-in-laws announced yesterday that she thinks of our baby as the shortened version of the boys name we've chosen - weird; but if baby is a boy, that's the name we're going with!

ooh saffa I'm completely the opposite I hate shortened names lol... OH is Alex and obviously has the long version as his birth certificate name yet has never been called it.. I can't see the point, you may as well just give them the shortened version to start with.

We don't discuss names until they arrive... though I have a list of names for each gender.
