MV - love those wall stickers! I've just been browsing nursery ideas online (naughty... meant to be working...). We are not going to do an all out 'nursery' as it'll be the spare room as well, but I do want to add a couple of things to make it more nursery like - it's painted a nice pale blue colour at the moment, would suit a boy or girl, and I like the blind we've got up already - big flowers, but it's not too girly. I think some wall stickers would be perfect, but it's hard to know what to go for without knowing the gender!

On names - my best friend is due in a week and for some reason I've convinced myself we've chosen the same boy's name, even though we haven't discussed it!!! I think that's the hormonal paranoia talking...

MV - I prefer Charlotte, but Lola is lovely too! I'm also a fan of the name Isobel.

We've got one boys name chosen (keeping under wraps) but I really want some more options as I'm worried the baby won't look like the name we've chosen! Got a few girls names, I find it so much easier to find ones I like (or more to the point, ones that DH and I both like!)

BB, that's funny, my mum suggested Olivia as well!

Claree - lovely wedding photos and blog, thanks for sharing :) One of my tasks for maternity leave is to do an album of photos from our wedding.... errr it was only four years ago.... :rotfl:

    Afternoon gang.

Just wanted a quick show of hands re a couple of girls names I am considering.

If you hate both then no worries, I won't be offended :D

Worth saying that I have been told that there is a 70% chance I am having a girl, but until my 22 week scan (2 weeks from now) it could still be a boy!

I like Charlotte - could be Charlie or Lottie for short depending on her personality! :) I also think Lola is cute, but I know a few peoplw who have named pets Lola :o

I saw you mentioned Ava and Katie further down. My sis is Katie and I think it's lovely - she can be Kate or Katie. Ava is nice, but is becoming really popular so there might be a lot of other little Ava's around...if that bothers you. We are trying to avoid the top 10 list.

As promised, my wedding on a blog =D

Getting my wedding/engagement ring back from the jeweller as well either tomorrow (if I catch them before they post it to send it to my work) or Thursday if I don't - feel very lost without it!

Lovely wedding Clare! You looked gorgeous! My birdcage was from lillybella too :) and my dress was also lace - similar tastes! :) I noticed you mentioned a few Glasgow suppliers. Are you near Glasgow? I am and am giving birth at one of the Glasgow Hospitals :)

Wow BB, 30 weeks! not long to go now. Exciting times! Have you tried to explain to your DS that another baby is coming? We have mentioned it, but at 2, our DS doesn't get it!

I've got loads of ideas for our new nursery :) Just need to kick OH up the ar5e to clear his clutter out of what is at the moment a 'boys toys' room!

Have bought these decals for the wall which I love:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roommates-Repositionable-Childrens-Stickers-Scroll/dp/B003NGTNFG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1364912661&sr=8-2

We keep telling DS that there's going to be a baby and he seems quite amenable to the idea, but I'm not sure he really understands what's going to happen. If I point to my tummy and say there's a baby in there, he just takes that as a cue to poke my belly button :o I think the baby is starting to recognise the sound of DS's voice though as he seems to wriggle a lot when DS is chattering away.

I love those wall stickers, they're so lovely for a nursery.

I've gone for these for DS http://www.amazon.co.uk/RoomMates-Repositionable-Childrens-Stickers-Transport/dp/B0013RE6AY/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1364915852&sr=1-1

Mrsj, I assume baby will be in with you for the first few weeks? You can always get wall stickers after the baby is born as they don't take very long to put up. I did that for DS as we didn't know what flavour we were having - his nursery is painted yellow and after he was born I got some blue stars wall stickers and some very cute pictures that had boats and cars on them, to make his room a little more boy-ish.
You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.

ooh I like those stickers too BB, fab for a little boy :)

We have these one's in DS's room: http://www.amazon.co.uk/FunToSee-Fisher-Price-Animals-Rainforest-Make-Over/dp/B002OQDB90/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1364916713&sr=8-1

I hope DS is ok when the new baby comes. I know he'll get used to the idea, but I'm just worried it'll stress him out for a bit. He's quite a sensitive child.
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Lilybella was so much cheaper than anywhere else, I was so suspicious it wouldn't turn up!

Yeh - I'm in Glasgow, will be going to the Southern to have tiny human.

    Lovely photos claree ,
Still need to sort out my photos out from last June when I got married!!!

I love names which are not that common, as so got a uncommon name for this little baby aswell, not telling ppl though as I don't want someone else to take it!! Im just stuck on a middle name now!!!

I love Lola more than Charlotte, but both are great, if I was having a girl it would of been violet , which all the grannys love!!!
or bailey , but had to change our mind as someone pointed out the initials b.j and it's a boy so didn't matter now.

Just took my kids to the park, what a lovely day apart from abit nippy but was nice to get out in the fresh air., and they could burn of some of there energy.
Time to start dinner now xx

BB - good point!! Yes the baby will be in with us for a few months, and even then it won't care what is on the walls :rotfl: I think I'm just keen to get it all organised now! MV those animal ones are lovely and would work for boy or girl so might have a think about those. I've also seen some nice ones with hot air balloons and clouds which I like.

22 working days left... roll on maternity leave! I really cannot be bothered with work now....

I want to go with Patrick for a middle name for a boy after my granda who passed away in January or if we don't go for Eilis as a first name I'd like it as a middle name after my granny. Obviously OH would have a say in this but I don't think he feels as strongly about it as I do :rotfl:

Me too! :) We might bump into each other at some appointment or another! :rotfl: Have you been up there yet? I have been for two scans and am going in a couple of weeks for Anti-D. Haven't seen the delivery suites (apart from online) but it seems like a nice hospital. It is VERY warm though. I'll need to remember to take a lightweight dressing gown!

We have only really thought of middle names. James after OH's Grandad or McLaren which is a family name that all the boys had as middle names - although OH didn't get it as he got his Dad's name as a middle name for some reason, but we'd quite like to re-start the tradition.
