But this morning back at work, I have debuted my maternity work blouse because the normal shirts were becoming a bit uncomfy and this one is kinda floaty and longer, from ASOS...only to be greeted with an 'omg you're f#*&ing huge' great. Feeling kinda fed again now :(

Yesterday I was speaking with my OH and I said, "You know, the one thing that scares me the most is ..."

and before I could say 'is baby moving though my pelvis when in labour' he butted in with 'what? your shadow?!' Cue him crying with laughter for the next ten minutes. I could have belted him haha

I loved Orla but it was vetoed - thought it would go so well with Erin as well.

The bit that annoys me about midwife/HV visits is when they expect you to wait in for day after day after day for them to show up when they get round to you... HV's been off on hols so of course we landed on her desk when she got back and she rang me - she was soooo cheesed off that I hadn't heard the call and she got my voicemail - because she cannot deal that I don't have completely blank days waiting for her (she got well annoyed I couldn't make her weaning talk last time too - sorry but £40 swimming course took priority!). Same woman as I have for Erin - she's relatively OK, just mildly on the dippy side and at least it's not the one I refuse to deal with because of her cluelessness about premature babies (they're all pretty clueless, one's totally clueless - the stuff about weaning preemies I found out myself going via Bliss in the end cos I got no sense out of the entire HV team) - think she's rolling by on Monday to see us (at which point I'll get collared for the developmental check I've put off for 3 months on Erin... wasn't going to do a 9-12 month check on a baby 2 months early at the earlier end of the age bracket - give the girl a fighting chance!) and the midwife's coming today (my midwife on the other hand is utterly adorable and I'll be dead sad to be discharged from her as she's seen me through both babies and gone well above and beyond in terms of trying to get sense out of hospital bods over this pregnancy) to weigh Robyn as we'd had a bit of a battle getting her weight gain started and she wasn't back up at birth weight last weighing (but had started to gain at least).

You can guarantee that any name you love, someone else will be along to tell you it's common/boring/awful/too popular etc. All that matters is that YOU like the name and you think it suits your child, sod what anyone else says :)

At the moment I am swaying between Charlotte, Lola and Isobelle if baby does in fact turn out to be a girl.

Personally I cnat be ar5ed with trying to be too clever and original with names. The reason certain names are popular is because they are good names. The Courtneys/Kaydens/kai's/Kylies etc are the ones that will date like the Gary/Susan/Janets etc are now synonomous with a few decades ago.

I feel crap today. Got a horibble cold, hardly slept last night and OH was a total ar5e this morning so he can do one!

The weather is sh1te again too (quelle surprise) and I had intended to take DS to get some new shoes/go to the park but honestly finding it hard to motivate myself right now. Just want to go to bed and be fussed over!

    Meh.

I just asked him how long he had been wanting to say it! haha

I'm just bump but I have put on two stone :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I think that my bump is small and that my coat hides it when out and about but my OH keeps telling me that my bump keeps attracting knowing smiles and glances so I guess that means my bump is on the big size.

My work colleagues/friends do tell me that my bump is getting bigger all of the time but I just see it as a sign of baby developing well.

I am too big for my early maternity clothes and my mat jeans are starting to feel a bit tight but there is no way that I am buying the next size up. I just can't bring myself to do it.

I also have wardrobe wobbles most mornings as well. I just keep telling myself that it is only a temporary thing and I will be able to trim down once my doctor tells me that it is safe to do so.

What was an eye-opener though was having a group physiotherapy appointment a few weeks ago. Some of the ladies were much bigger than me but one lady, who was further on than me, only looked as though she had over eaten at lunch time. She had a tiny bump! I just keep reminding myself of that each morning when I open my wardrobe and find s0d all to wear!

Exactly my point. You choose a name because it suits you and your family. If we all liked the same names, that would be a problem...:) I remember being Clare 8 in my Reception class as there was 8 of us. Many thanks to Gilbert O Sullivan :rotfl: But my Mum still loves my name to this day.

You might not have put on as much "you" weight as you think anyway - I got to be really big... but am back in jeans that were a smidge too small pre-pregnancy after two weeks and they're falling down on me - by the time you factor in food aversions (I can't face chocolate first trimester) and heartburn and everything else - I tend to lose weight without trying during pregnancy slightly.

My daughter was going to be a Victoria, Mia or Esme (I have no theme - just choose names I like :)) up until my due date and then changed to Orla after seeing the actress Orla O Brady in some programme and fell straight in love with the name.

When she started school, they said they had never had an Orla before (just under 900 pupils in the school) and lo and behold there is now one other Orla in the school. And she is is the same class as my daughter and now her best friend.
