Claree - Bra extenders - from ebay. Only a couple of quid for a pack of 2 or 3. I am 38 weeks and have only just bought new bras (nursing ones) - have made do with the extenders till now.0

Sorry to hear about your exam dippy. I have one tomorrow morning and am pretty sure I'm going to fail - I just haven't had the energy or motivation to study properly for it in the evenings so I'm going to need a very healthy dose of luck if I'm to pass it
Cheers BB, pretty peeved, I've been on a 6month course for promotion and have passed some really tricky exams and dealt with the stress of travelling 8 hrs to the centre etc and now i have failed my final one and one that's considered to be one of the easiest!!! But i did really struggle with revision, just can't concentrate the same. But will have to knuckle down for my resit! Good luck to you for tomoro!0 -
Names are such a minefield. Likes and dislikes can depend on so many factors. My full first name isn't unusual, but it's not the common spelling of it, so I've spent the past 38 years spelling it for people - and they still get it wrong more often than not. So that's probably the reason why I like names that are spelt exactly how you'd expect. There were 4 girls in my class at school with the same name as me (though I think we managed 3 different spellings), so it doesn't concern me that this baby will probably be at school with several other Olivers.
I hope I didn't offend you Chonorla. You know what, I really like the look of Alfey, if that makes sense. It makes a nice shape when it's written down.
Names can seem odd at first, but they generally grow to fit the person. I was really surprised a few years ago when a friend called her baby boy Douglas, it just seemed like an old man's name. But now he's very definitely a Douglas and I couldn't imagine him any other way.
Just heard from another friend that she had her baby this morning, a little girl called Darcy. That's a pretty name so I just thought I'd throw that one into the mix
I need to stop stuffing myself with chocolate as some of my maternity clothes are starting to get tight now and I don't really want to have to buy a load more. I have some jeans from Next that are big enough, but they are underbump ones and they drive me mad as they just will not stay up! I might have to get some braces for them
For bras, it's worth getting extenders for the back. Mine were getting to be too small, but an extender on the back has sorted them (this baby seems to have taken up residence in my ribs already).

No offence taken at all - was just saying that sometimes we don't know the reasons behind the names people give. Alfey was not my first choice of name, I wanted Harrison (which he had as a middle name) but it was a compromise I made for DH, as long as I could change the spelling slightly and make it my ownA number of people have said it looks better written Alfey, it was not a conscious decision, I just liked it that way. It was the only baby I have had that had his name before he arrived. All of the others there was some choice. (And I did change them all....)
I love Darcy for a little girl. My friend has a Freya and has just had a Darcy 3 weeks ago.
neromanova - never thought of the initial thing, oops
dippy - if its any consolation I did not do as well in my last uni assignment as I hoped and I have another one due on 12th May which I have not hardly looked at(Can't take any maternity leave as its a Masters). By evening, with 3 kids to look after all day, I am ready for a lie on the sofa - not starting to studyI did pass but by the skin of my teeth. Will you be able to take it again?

Thats probably what my problem is too - I had Rice Crispies and....half a block of Galaxy for breakfast! (I wouldn't have dreamt of eating chocolate for breakfast before being pregnant:eek:!)
But my theory is that if you are craving something....baby probably *needs* it!:rotfl:
I've just eaten a whole easter eggChocolate has become a serious craving for me. I'm normally not that fussed about it, but at the moment I can't get through the day without having some.

Good to see you back Chonorla, looks like I'll be joining you on the big baby front. Estimated 7lb11 at growth scan today (36+2) so they think it could well be 10lb if it keeps growing at this rate. I've another scan at 40 wks to see what's happening (if it's not arrived by then) and if it's estimated over 5kg then they'll discuss a section (but either way certainly won't let me go 2 weeks over, which is standard for natural delivery).
As with bump size, I think I've got away lightly considering the size of the baby. My sis gave me her maternity stuff, I've been in the jeans since about 16 wks, but have consistently been in size 16 maternity and prev was size 16 anyway. Tops and dresses (more like knitted dresses and long tunic) I've not got anything specifically for maternity. Just kept with longer lengths and stretchy fabrics. I find it's the skinny ones who say "god you look HUUUUUGE!", but at size 16 & 5ft10 I reckon they've forgotten I was never their size anyway! You'll get some people saying ooooh doesn't look like you'll make it another 4 weeks and some saying, gosh what a neat bump.... We're all different shapes, so don't let your bump get you down. At least there's a reason for it and you've not just got very fat over the last few months.x0 -

I had to pay for my petrol at the pump this morning to avoid buying chocolate in the station. Can't walk past a twirl at the moment! My Debt Free Diary

I was craving sweets big time with the 2 girls. Now I hate the stuff but it's the only thing we have in the house
Bloody easter. I really wasn't some crisps or something savory. Luckily I have the car today so get to go stock up on them

This is something worrying me. Baby was estimated at 6lb 2oz on the 12 Feb. I am not being induced until the 9th April at Term+14. I have visions of a toddler strolling out of there chewing on steak!! xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

!!!
They did follow it up by saying don't worry though as often the big babies are easier to labour (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the speed of Chonorla's labours will concur with that) as gravity and the body just gets it out, no messing about. They did also confirm though that there is no evidence that they come any sooner, so your term +14 makes sense.
Hopefully he'll make an appearance before then.x0
