Keep your fingers crossed for me anyway that it happens and works! My husband is staying home to take me to the appointment so at least he will be there if it does ...

Hope the sweep works for, my midwife is coming round tomorrow morning to check blood pressure and she said she might do a sweep if she thinks it will help, otherwise she'll be back on Wednesday to do it. Getting so many texts now asking what's happening, I'm finding it quite funny at the moment but DH is getting frustrated by it.

My mums here from South Africa, so we spent most of the day shopping, my feet are huge and I've joined the cankle club in a big way! Had a curry and a glass of red wine this evening to get things going but just seemed to give the little guy lots of hiccups.

Well there's nothing like losing your mucus plug to make you panic. So I've been wide awake for an hour and got my newborn clothes and blankets out the packets and ready to wash at a sensible hour. Meant to be going shopping with my mum tomorrow for last-minute bits including hospital bag stuff but going to text her at 8am and ask if she can come today instead. Then will do big Tesco shop. Then tomorrow I will clean the house.

I know it could be anything from 2 days to 3 weeks til labour but have a bit of period-like pain and am panicking big time cos I'M NOT READY!!

Can I just say that in RL I'm one of the most organised people I know??

On a nice note to finish, yesterday I had a lovely pregnancy treatment courtesy of OH. Had full body exfoliation, massage, masque and moisturise. Was bliss.

Hope everyone isn't suffering too much in the heat, I'll keep you all posted x

NBirdy- Glad you got back home. Hope you manage to rest up a bit, but I agree it is difficult to rest much when you've got kids at home.

I wonder if we'll have a huge list of new babies by tomorrow. I'm getting excited for everyone now.

God this is unbearable, heat I mean. It's sweltering upstairs and I have no idea what to wear to work. I can't face sitting in black trousers all day and my tops are soaked as soon as I put them on. I have a maxi dress or 2, one which is far too thick and the other is see through so I have to wear leggings and a top underneath which defeats the object!

My feet are massive and really hurt. Please, bring back rain!

I made the silly mistake of putting my wedding ring back in the other day when it was cooler and now it's a bit stuck :undecided Nit sure whether to try get it off or wait until the end of the week when it's going to cool down.

Morning all


Well last night was fun as I got up every 45 mins or so to pee or roll over

I've no idea whats going on , i still have 8 weeks to go & there is no way im going to call my midwife and try to explain "i just feel like he is going to come early" as she will think im a nutjob :rotfl:

Will see if i get any more pains today, I didnt have any of this with my 2 boys and didnt get any labour pains that I can remember as I had an induction with both. The only thing it feels similar to is the mini contractions I was getting when I passed baby last year

On a brighter note, I've found a cotbed and moses basket I dont need but really really want as they match the wardrobe we already have, just have to convince hubby now

Morning all!

Good luck to all those having labour symptoms.

Well Moon hasn't managed to finish off building the chest of drawers, so I can't actually get around the bed to get to the baby clothes etc to wash them either, as he's started to assemble them right in the way. He's also covered the actual bed in loads of rubbish, so can't even crawl over the bed either. Hope that he gets it all done tonight, although we're going to our NCT class at 7.30, so not holding out much hope of this. Wanted to make the most of the good drying weather as I'm also going out with friends on Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes and have heard that it may be raining again by the end of the week. :mad:

Suppose I'd best go and have my shower and get dressed then I can bring in the washing from yesterday and put on another load of our stuff (left it a bit late to put the washing out yesterday as I went out, so it wasn't dry by bedtime, hence leaving it out).

Hugs to all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.
