Hi all!

Had my growth scan this morning. Also raided Primark so got some nice dark nighties with buttons, cheap slippers and more big bum knickers must have got quite a bit more as came to £46! :eek:

Congrats to those who had scans today, sorry forget who now glad all is well.

Er....nope. Just he was a good size for the dates. I think it was mentioned at the beginning that they wanted an extra scan, they've really been worked and we had that 4d scan a few weeks back. It has measurements on the report but haven't looked since I've been home. I'll look back and see that website where you can put measurements in and it will say a weight.

But he is naughty as ever, looking away yfrom the scanner. Not even a profile of his face so no picture. He's now completely breech. I know there's lots of time for him to turn.

I only use hooded towels for my LO (Mothercare do a pack of three that are OK) - I put a changing mat on the bathroom floor with the towel flat out on top of it, so when I take her out of the bath I can lie her straight on the towel and wrap her up. We then sit and have a cuddle with her all snug and cosy in her towel - she loves it and also dries automatically so no rubbing required. I wash her body first and her face and hair at the end so that she doesn't get cold - hence I only use one towel per bath. But this is probably one of those things where everyone has their own personal preferences so you may want to see what you prefer (hooded vs. smaller ones etc.) and then buy more of whichever you like once the baby's here.

Well I'm glad everything looks good and well at your scan - that website gets a bit addictive when you want to know what size bubs is etc, I was trying to work out what percentile my friends bubs was on it earlier lol.

My boy is stubborn too, he doesn't behave well on scans I am just very lucky that on all my scans the sonographers have had rapid fingers to capture loads of shots in quick succession to try and get me a good one lol.

Not long now till we will have our bubs. Friends keep posting pictures of their newborns on facebook and it's making me sooooo broody lol.

Ikkle do you have the website to hand? He's always been naughty at all of our scans. Maybe a boy thing? He's not shy though when it comes to showing his winkle lol.

Hello all

Hope you've had a good day. It's SOO hot here today. Could do with an outdoor pool!

Thanks for your support with my arguement with OH. We talked it through and things are ok at the minute. Still won't forget what he said though. I'm a grudge-holder!

Quick question - what is everyone doing re childcare. Are you looking at nurseries? child minders? family? I think I'll hopefully go down to a 4 day week, so the baby will only have to be in nursery 3 days or week (or 2 if I can persuade my mum to have him for one day). I went to see a nursery today and it was £38.50/day. Does this seem about standard? I looked at about 7 others online to try to compare and they were all £37-£41 per day, so seems to be. Still means about £500/month and that won't be easy if I'm also reducing my wage. Eugh babies are so expensive :cool:
