I don't think the misbehaving at scans thing is exclusive to boys, my girl has been terrible. I only have one good picture from all of the scans. Glad it went well LMM. Our reports have a box on the report where they have to put the weight in, so it was nice and clear to see.
Thanks savage, yep I'm on the right date nowCross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

Ikkle do you have the website to hand? He's always been naughty at all of our scans. Maybe a boy thing? He's not shy though when it comes to showing his winkle lol.
Forgot to say earlier Nbirdy hope you're ok and BP has come down. Sending big calming hugs xxx

Awww thanks for all the well-wishes guys! :A I am home finally - BP came down to a more sensible level at the hospital (was kept in the waiting room for an hour and nearly nodded off so I think that helped lol), protein ++ and liver function test right on the cut-off level. I'm really puffed up with dreadful water retention as well. But have persuaded them to let me home, so long as I promise to rest with my feet up (I have a 4yr old and a 5yr old just started their summer holidays so fat chance!) and go back to be checked on Thursday. I had pre-eclampsia with DD1 and this is going very much the same way so hoping not to get admitted or put on strict bed rest if I can avoid it *sigh*.
My BP is normally 118/78, just very slightly under 'textbook normal' but with the amount of swelling I've got I was pretty sure it'd be raised
Re towels I've luckily still got the plain white hooded ones I used with both my DDs, 3 I think but only used 1 at a time so 3 was loads. I never did like washing their hair when they were bundled in a towel, didn't feel comfy and they used to scream so I did it last thing before getting them out.
Breast pumps - I had the Medela mini electric when I had my DDs and it was perfectly fine, I had no problems with it and it still worked fine when I sold it on after DD2 was done with breastmilk. This time I've treated myself to the mini electric PLUS which is a double pump so can do both sides at once (moooooooo!). I fancied a Ameda double electric but I got on well with the Medela last time so I figured I'd stick with what I know. Also the Ameda is a lot more expensive and with this being our 3rd, no relatives/friends are buying us anything whatsoever so need to keep costs down!
Now just waiting for a chinese takeaway - well I'm supposed to be taking it easy right?!0 -
Watching OBEM from some time this week, it should be used at antenatal classes as a "how to make labour harder on yourself" tool as this girl is making such a fuss  she has been screaming blue murder since 2cm and puffing on the gas and air & sounding like darth vadar on acid
Not looking forward to tomorrow - its meant to get to 35 degrees :eek:Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -

I watched one like that on BT Vision the other day she was screaming and carrying on like mad even my OH said isn't she making it harder for herself by being like that?
Just watched Lola giving birth on Eastenders and wondering how her fake tan has stayed on lol. OH wanted to watch Perry Fenwick do the torch bearing. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Glad you're better now NBirdy.
It's just occurred to me that if the membrane sweep works tomorrow morning, I could be in labour soon after! But I know that it might not work or the midwife might not do it if she thinks the cervix isn't ready. Has anyone ever had one? I think the odds of it working really depend on how ready you are, don't they?
Keep your fingers crossed for me anyway that it happens and works! My husband is staying home to take me to the appointment so at least he will be there if it does ...0
