Have a mountain of washing to do. Hoping the flat is warm enough with this crazy heat to dry it quickly. :got my normal four loads this week plus a load of baby boy things to put through someone magic a laundry fairy for me!!!

I have a laundry fairy....she's called my nan lol. I take a bag of baby stuff up and she washes, dries and presses them for me lol.

Aahh my mum has been washing my baby stuff too!

Have you ladies been washing all the new stuff? or just the secondhand bits? x

Not washed anything yet but will wash all of it I reckon - I have to do the nappies anyway to get them up to maximum absorbency. I don't iron though....

I've just hung out a load of washing on the line to dry since returning from doing the food shop and eating my lunch beforhand. With the heat out there I suspect it'll dry really quickly which is good.

dizsiebubba I intend to wash all of the baby clothes (new and second-hand) as the new ones will have chemicals on them still.

Can I ask what is everyone doing about towels for the baby? I've got one hooded baby towel but was thinking I should get some hand towels for his bath towels. Anyone found any good ones that don't cost a fortune, but are soft and wash well?

I wish! All my family live a plane ride away so no chance of that!

I have waged all second hand stuff and only the new stuff that I really want him
To wear cos anything that he grows out of that has tags on I don't want to take tags off to wash I case I can sell on if not used

First load in. They only small loads just hard when no washing line!

I don't iron either. When my dd was away visitin her nan she asked her what she was doing to the clothes with that pointy thing. How embarrassing.

I've washed everything apart from a couple of outfits that I'm not sure about size wise.

We've got 4 baby towels Sexymouse, and quite a few muslins so hopefully that should be enough. Not sure there is any particular shop for super soft towels. Our antenatal recommends using 2 towels at bath time. One to swaddle bubs in while you wash hair then thoroughly dry the hair and then wash the body. Also boys have a tendency to pickle apparently. They don't need to be bathed everyday though, and again they recommend just water to begin with x
