  • Kitten I can't see the pics cos my stupid work internet connection won't let me but will have another look when I get home! I got one of those feeding balls for my tabby before, and he did play with it, but he tended to bat it under the sofa and then couldn't get it back out! It would probably be different now cos he's thin enough to crawl underneath and retrieve it!

Thanks to all for the nice messages, got him in at the vets tonight so hopefully we'll get him sorted and back on track soon. I've had him since the day he was born so I'm v. protective of him!

Just scoffed a Fry's turkish delight - it was yummy! Seem to be very hungry again at the moment, not sure if it's cos baby is having a growth spurt or because I'm a bit bored at work....

Loving all the tales about crafty bits and pieces; i wanted to do loads of thigns but with all the work on the house it wasn't very practical so the most i can manage at the mo is a bit of knitting after dinner! I have got lots of crafty ideas for when I am at home with baby though - I know I won't get much free time right at the start but when things settle down a bit I plan to get into making and decorating things. I used to do a lot of glass painting before and so have just bought some paints to restart that hobby again. Will prob do a few pieces as Christmas presents as money will be a bit tight!

Just been staring at my little Cuddles and I can't believe he was actually on the inside. He's enormous! Honestly, he's about three foot long. Where did he fit?? Outrageous.

I was just in Asda and on the sale shelf in the baby section they had an Avent manual breast pump for £7.50. I got one for my friend (she had said she wanted to get one, so not rammimg it down her throat LOL). might be worth a look if you are after one.

Anyone who's got the Medela Swing 2nd hand care to share how much they paid? There's one on Gumtree near me at the moment for £85 (claiming still in warranty, but as that's only 6 months by the time I use it it will be outside warranty, even if it's transferrable!) and it seems a bit steep for me (I think it failed to sell on ebay at the same price).

i think you can get a new one for £95 from john lewis or amazon - plus if you sign up to amazons credit card thingy i think you get another 10% off.

i am holding off buying at pump at the moment also this is the one i want.

  • Toni - i've also got the Sola system. I bought mine on ebay. It looks like you can get the carrycot 2nd hand for £40, but only in black. My friend wanted it in plum too but she said it was just a bit too new for that colour. Mine is in great condition and you wouldnt guess its not brand new. I did however buy a new mattress.
