Still threatening pre-term labour... getting bouts of contractions that get regular and painful - then vanish. Hospital keep wanting to keep me in there (was in Friday - Monday and then self-discharged) but since they can give me no answers and just keep waking me up to do 2 hourly obs - stuff that lark - I'd rather be at home enjoying the time with my girl.
Past the danger point of a long NICU and hospital stay now anyway - 35 weeks was always my goal and I'm 35+1Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
35 weeks you should be home straight away.. I stayed 1 night with the ones who arrived late on but early morning 35 weekers I'd be home same day.
There is no way on earth I'd be staying in for anything unless I or the baby was unwell.. I find it incredibly stressful just going to appointments (I've cancelled 2 so far already) I am sure they do it to annoy people! lol.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Re cm I've had a bit every day but yikes to it leaking through knicks!!Mum of 2 :j0

Oh and ran into the doctor my little girl slapped when she was in there! Well he kept jabbing her heels for blood so she got cross with him and administered a proper little (teeny tiny) slap attempt!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Ive had loads of cm too - its horrible feeling all gooey down there, lol..ive been wearing panty liners for weeks now, it does help with feeling a bit fresher..
We ordered our pram at the baby show, and still got another few weeks before we get ours.cant wait to have a play.. We got the icandy peach in silvermint, loved the way it felt, and it looks pretty too. The other system I really loved was the silver cross surf - soo compact and cute! I do prefer smaller prams
fluffnutter i did originally want the uppababy but it seemed really bulky when i tried it out and i didnt like the material - im sure its a really good choice though it seems to get good reviews everywhere
Good luck dizziblonde and mrshaworth2b, sounds like it might be happening soon, though hope yours hangs in for a bit longer dizziblonde
BigBird - I have half packed my hospital bag already! Sad I know, but I loved doing it, washing babys stuff and seeing it hanging (barely cos theyre so tiny) on the drier was the bestWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Evening ladies, hope we're all well.
Dizzi, glad to hear that bubs is still cooking (even if its just!), and should bubs put in an appearance now it should be a vastly different experience from your little girl's arrival.
I've been wearing pantyliners for ages now! And yes, a couple of days have had to change them during the day too - but rather that and feel comfortable than not.
MrsAshworth2b, hope that you're well on your way to mummy cuddles!
I've not bought a pram and don't plan on buying one before baby is here as I don't think I would actually use it: I don't go shopping (do it all online) and cannot think of anything worse than traipsing around a shopping centre. I do go walking, but in the countryside along footpaths with numerous stiles etc and a pram would be a hindrance not a help. A friend said I definitely need a pram for when I visit people - um, why can't bubs lie on the sofa/carpet on a throw when out the car seat? (And Yes, I know baby can't be left in a car seat for hours). I do have a couple of slings; one a wrap and one a structured one so will see how we go with that to start with.
Off topic I know but, my sister was put onto a ventilator this morning so is really not doing well at the moment; and as I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant no airline will touch me without a doctor's sign off and there is no chance of that. Asked my consultant again yesterday and though she's happy with me and how I'm doing, no chance of an 11 hour flight followed by another 1 hour flight to see my sister. I just feel rather useless and helpless as can't be there to support my parents at least (my sis is also sedated at the moment).
On the plus side, baby appears to be growing very well though - at my scan yesterday (34+4) all measurements were good and they estimated baby at 2.7kg (uh 5lb14 I think they said).
I finish work tomorrow - I'm so glad; the strain of my commute and worry about my sister alongside the physical aspects of pregnancy are taking their toll... 1 day to go... I can do it!
hope that we're all well and sending labour vibes to the boldies.
take care ladies

I'd really like one of those nice dressers (chest of drawers) with a changing top, so am keeping my eye out for a second hand one locally as they are very expensive to buy new.
Hi Mrsj28 - I recently bought this http://www.tuttibambini.co.uk/furniture/changers/selina-changer-antique-pine-finish? from tutti bambini - they are normally really expensive - this is from their clearance section (I had looked everywhere for a reasonably priced one) - I saw the range at the Baby Show. I also bought the matching wardrobe also for the same price. Really happy with it - they are good quality for flatpack and quite heavy!
I have my risk assessment at work next week - I laughed and said it was a bit late at 28 weeks so just send me the paperwork and I will sign it to say I won't sue!!!
I haven't even thought about my hospital bag.
I am hoping baby doesn't arrive early - am working right up until the due date but my goodness the list is going down quickly. I also don't have a house thats liveable in at the moment - every wall has just been plastered and new plumbing installed - but still no kitchen or bathroom!!! Eeek!0 -

You don't really need a special changing top. I just use the pine dresser that I've had for decades with a changing mat on the top."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Evening Ladies,
Very rare for me to post of an evening, but finally, after months and months of my house being upside down, I have my dining room/extension back to normal :j I have just sat here and organised all the odds and sods of instruction manuals that have been piling up in a drawer for years (Can't you tell Monica from friends is my heroine!!!) and I've now written anniversary cards, done about 3 loads of washing in my new washer and am able to sit here in relative silence (OH watching the goggle box in living room) and chat to you lovely lot! Its bliss, and something I rarely get to do.
Today I was able to finish work at 2pm after speaking to the bosses at work about reducing my hours for the remaining 2 weeks i've got left before mat leave starts. So 8am-2pm for the next 9 working days
With regards to CM I've had this for quite a while and have to wear liners and change them at least once in the day or I end up having the same issues as the other lady. I've somehow convinced myself that its my amniotic sac leaking but I'm sure its not and the MW didnt seem to fussed when I mentioned it to her the other day.
I have to go to see a consultant again next Thurs as had glucose in my wee for the 3rd appt in a row, already had a negative glucose test in Jan but she just wants to be on the safe side.
My pram is a Spin one that was donated by my best friend as somehow they ended up with 2 when their child was born. So have just had to buy the car seat - went for a Maxi Cosi pebble and then the raincover came for that today.
At 34+2 i'm defo feeling more pg than ever and even silly housework jobs are getting the better of me now, having to enlist OH to bend down and pick stuff up for me!
Well I hope all the pre-labour-but-prob-in-labour mummies to be are progressing nicely????
Lou x (apologies for the long post or if I've waffled)But I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!
Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:0
