Yikes, I'm 29th on the list  How did I get to be in the 20's so quickly?
I'm 27 weeks now and should probably start making some preparations for this baby. Like a hospital bag. Also need to get the spare room decorated so that DS can move in there, but first we'll probably need to hire a skip for all of the junk that's currently living in there.
Off to the dentist shortly as I've been in agony with toothache for the past week. I think it's a wisdom toothI do hope they aren't going to fob me off because I'm pregnant as I can't put up with this for the next 3 months.
Hope everyone else is well and that the ladies at the top of the list aren't kept waiting too much longer.
I have just finished packing my hospital bag this morning - I am 36 weeks so not very organised ooops! And have ordered the final bits for baby off the Mothercare website this morning which included the car seatGlad I haven't gone early or not sure how baby would have got home :rotfl:
I also had a wisdom tooth out at 30 weeks pregnant - I went in as an emergency appointment an hour after phoning them and the dentist said lets get the tooth out now! I was expecting antibiotics and a mouth wash. But have to say it is the best thing ever - I have not had a twinge of toothache since. It was effecting the whole side of my mouth, so its a huge relief
Hope everyone is feeling well

Thanks chonorla, I don't feel quite so disorganised now
To be honest, most of the stuff in the hospital bag last time never got used, so I'll be going for the bare minimum this time.
Trip to the dentist done. It is a wisdom tooth, and a decayed one at thatShe's drilled it (ouch! - they nearly had to peel me off the ceiling at one point, despite having an anaesthetic ) and put a temporary filling in which will hopefully settle it til after the baby arrives and then she'll take it out. If not then it's going to have to come out, pregnant or not. It seems to have settled down for now, so fingers crossed it behaves for the next 3 months.
Is anyone else suffering with an abundance of cervical mucous? I seem to have tons of it at the moment.
Fingers crossed this is it for you Mrshaworth2bYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Yes, me!! The other day (and this is far too much information... but some of you know me from the ttc threads, and I shared even more on there...) there was so much it pretty much leaked through my knickers and onto my leggings :eek::eek: I think I might have to start wearing a panty liner soon!
Birdie I am the same as you, feel like I should be thinking about starting to get things ready. We've bought a few bits and pieces, but need to get the spare room rearranged - we'll be keeping the spare bed in there (one of those single beds with another one tucked underneath) but need to get rid of some other stuff and think about some storage for the baby's clothes etc. I'd really like one of those nice dressers (chest of drawers) with a changing top, so am keeping my eye out for a second hand one locally as they are very expensive to buy new.
I've just put in a bid on a Close (Caboo) sling on ebay, there are loads on there so if I don't win this one I'll bid on another.
Haven't thought about hospital bag yet - I can see there is a link to a list so will have a look at it. Is there anything that people would definitely recommend taking to hospital or definitely wouldn't bother with?
Birdie I hope you are not in too much pain after the ordeal at the dentist. I really must book a check-up soon, especially as it's free at the moment! :money:0 -

Have you had a look at Ikea? They do a whole set (cot, wardrobe, drawers with changing top) for £200. I'm swaying towards it at the moment.
EDIT: That's a lie, it's a cabnet with shelf unit with an attachable changing bit. How disappointing. My Debt Free Diary

I've already had to start using panty liners. And occasionally I've had to change them part way through the day
My hospital bag was stuffed with drinks and snacks which were never touched - once labour kicked off, eating or drinking was the last thing on my mind. Pretty much all I used from the bag was my tens machine for the early stages and my tankini top when I got in the birth pool. This time I must remember my phone charger as I forgot it last time and my phone was dying by the time I'd rung around family to tell them about the new arrival.
And I've just remembered a good tip I read last time - you should get your stuff for the hospital bag ready, but let your OH/birth partner pack it as they'll most likely be the one getting things outYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. I'm currently swaying towards the SilverCross Surf but I also really liked the Mothercare Orb but I'm a bit wary about an own brand.
We've gone for the mothercare Trenton, apparently it's made in he same place as one of the gracos ones but not sure how true that is. A friend had the old model and loved it except it didn't fold down much and the new model does fold so seemed like a very safe bet!0 -

It's got great suspension so is comfy to push and for baby. I've been fine with it on fairly rough terrain. The handle has three height settings so is great for me (short) and my OH (tall). The basket's enormous. It comes with a lie-flat carrycot and a stroller which can face both backwards and forwards. The seat position's quite high so that when travelling your baby's not down by your feet and when seated at a cafe or whatever they're a similar height to you. It takes the maxi-cosi carseats (and some others too) but unlike the bugaboos you don't have to buy the adapters separately; they're included. It's got rain covers, fly nets and UV shades. It looks fabulous and comes in loads of colours. I don't know anyone who's got one who doesn't rave about it."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
