Oh Saffagal I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope the news is not too bad :(

We're now back from our babymoon, but I have come down with some kind of cold/vomiting thing, which is a bit miserable. The plan is to clear out the spare room this weekend, put the sofabed that's in there on gumtree or somesuch and then start transforming it into a nursery!

Could someone please add me to the list? Due 14 June and team pink.
  • Oh saffagal so sorry to hear that, don't know what to say, it must be very upsetting for you not being able to fly home. When is your dh due home? Hopefully not too much longer so you can ring your folks asap.x

Still in limbo - nice 3 minute contractions overnight... stopped again... no doubt they'll reappear at 3am this morning as well.

Irritable uterus?! Try a flipping irritable ME as this palava goes on!!!!

Irritable uterus is one of my irritations too, it is painful and exhausting and I found it more uncomfortanle than the real contractions. I felt sore and bruised for several weeks. I locked myself and the tiddlers in one room to minimise te need for walking about and did minimal housework. Being told you are 3cm dilated at 28 weeks and almost fully effaced makes you be careful ( he arrived at 30 weeks)

You have just a few weeks left.. look after that little girl and yourself and sod everything else

Anyone else had kidney or gallbladder problems in their pregnancies? They finally let me home today with this rough diagnosis...low fat diet and plenty of fluid in the hope that it doesn't flare up again until after baby comes. Will see how I feel by Tuesday and if I can get it under control enough to go back to work, I hope so as only have seven weeks left working as have lots of annual leave to take

I have awful kidney problems when pregnant, it has been one of the things which has been prevelant in all but 2 of my pregnancies (1st and 4th oddly). By the time they stopped telling me I was lying I had almost complete kidney failure with Squeak and my liver was starting to fail too. I had pretty much the same with Dot and my kidneys are already not working well with this one, They are at least still allowing liquid through, unfortunately they are allowing everything else through too.

It wouldn't be so bad but it is soooo painful and I get very waterlogged towards the end.

Not that I've found.. avoiding acidic juice/fruit and fizzy stuff is advised otherwise it irritates. Drinking water (which I NEVER do) and milk is ok apparently but I don't drink that either. I drink strawberry ribena and tea and nothing else.

Other than that nothing makes any difference.

helen - I know exactly how you are feeling, am 36 weeks today and absolutely shattered! Sadly my DH is doing 10 hours overtime today so am battling on with the 3 kids plus trying to sort our bedroom out. At the moment there is no room for any sort of bed for baby :o I also see my Consultant on Friday so hopefully will find out what is happening regarding induction. If they do me 2 weeks early like last time - baby will be here 2 weeks today

Was my birthday on Thursday and I couldn't even be botheredto go out with DH - so we had a chinese banquet at home. But had been sick all day so hardly ate anything. But I did manage a very early tea with friends last night and was home in bed by half nine :rotfl: Lightweight !

My very minimal hospital bag is finished ( never use half the stuff I take) and sat by the front door and have just unpacked my Mothercare order (really lovely car seat, Disney cosy toes and changing bag which the kids picked is really cute and a changing mat, all for £75). Also put up my nice new 3 wheeler (£25 bargain thanks to Emmas Diary :)) and my daughter is testing it out with her dolls and teddies in :rotfl:. Baby has definitely been on a budget, and 90% of the stuff is new, I think we have spent about £250 for everything, which is great as this is definitely my last one and will be getting rid of everything asap afterwards!!! All I need to get is a moses basket mattress and some formula milk and then I am done. So baby can come when he wants. Just need to think of some names now :D

Saffagal - Hope everything is ok as it can be :( xxxx

Have done nearly half of my last assignment due on 13th May and have 2 days free (littlest DS's last 2 days in nursery) to try and finish it. And then I can have some sort of maternity break !! Yey!!! Can't believe that it is the first year of my Masters finished - it has gone so quick

Hope everyone is feeling well xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Hello everyone!
