That's very helpful of your in-laws BigBird, I think having your 2nd or subsequent children makes it so much harder when you have to think about where the other children will stay! Especially for in the middle of the night hospital runs!0

Sorry saffa, must be so hard for you. I lost my granda early in pregnancy and it was awful, I can't imagine what you're going through.
16+6 today so still in the really boring stage where nothing's happening except my clothes don't fit. Dying to feel movement or something! My Debt Free Diary

So sorry saffa. Sad news
and awful for you that you can't be there for the funeral *hugs*
I went on my buggy research expedition at the weekend. Why are there so many!!?? :rotfl:
We haven't chosen one yet, but we have narrowed it down quite a bit. I think it is a very personal choice; what works for you and your needs so hope this isn't meant to offend - we ruled out M&P Sola and Urbo, Bugaboo Bee, Uppababy Vista the Quinny range. Our front Runners so far are the Bugaboo Cameleon and the iCandy Peach. We are going to do another trip next weekend to a bigger shop to try those two out again and compare them side by side and I'd also like a look at the Babystyle Oyster as I've heard good things about that one.
It's so tough because there are so so many and when you look online you can find just as many good reviews as you can bad for any of them! Also not liking the fact that most of them cost more than our first car! :eek:0 -
If anyone's doing research and would like to use my Which? account they're more than welcome. I signed up for the £1 trial month and I'm going to cancel it after that but if anyone wants me log in then just drop me a PMMy Debt Free Diary

Sorry to hear your news Saffa
On the buggy thing - remember loads of suppliers stick their prices up at the start of April (I know iCandy are apparently). If a new Kiddicare's opening near you then they do do some good opening voucher deals which is what we used to get our buggy with something like an extra 10% off.
Still here - 3 minute contractions for a good few days now but no progress on anything interesting - last heart trace showed some causes for concern and they were muttering about inductions but then changed their mind, but want to do a scan on Wednesday when I'm at the clinic in the hospital anyway... apparently I've got about 1cm of cervix left and the baby's head is massively low but that's about it. Existing on paracetamol and codeine.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Oh gosh - We'd better get in there before the prices go up again then! Although i think we might try to get a second hand one anyway...Thanks for the tip on Kiddicare - I'll check that out.
Hope you are managing ok with the contractions!0 -
Saffagal so sorry to hear your news, hope you are coping with it ok..
lovecake can't remember when you are due but we got a good discount off our buggy at the baby show - all of the buggys on show had a discount of some sort, or free car seat and bits thrown in, and all the icandy display models were avail for sale at the end of the show (you could reserve it) with loads knocked off..there are a couple more baby shows this yearWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Hope everyone is ok this evening, im getting alot of painful braxton hicks at the moment, i was having them for over 1 hour on sunday morning and they were coming about 5 minutes apart, but you can tell the difference between the real contractions and the fake ones, well i hope so by now!!!0 -
Hope they die down soon helen
Having a 'mare of a day and it's only 10.30am. I have a week booked off in April to look after my mum's foster kids while she goes on holiday. My agency are telling me I have only accrued 4.5 days when I've accrued 5.5 and now my work are saying I have to take the 2 bank holidays off so I'm down to 3.5 holiday (2.5 according to the agency) when I need 6 days.
I think I might cry.My Debt Free Diary

Good morning all.
Saffagal, so sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself.
*Bigbird*, Hope all goes well on Friday, it must be difficult arranging childcare. Luckily mine are already old enough to sort themselves out, although will probably go down the road to grandma because, of course, she has the best biscuits and spoils them! Oh, and a tin full of chocolate (which was never there when I lived at home!).
Claree__x, the boring bit doesn't last too long. That said I didn't feel anything until 21 weeks. Hope your day improves soon. ((Hugs))
dizziblonde, fingers crossed for you. X
helen4891, I'm not sure I've ever really experienced Braxton Hicks contractions. I occasionally get tightening but no discomfort. Hope you're ok. Take things easy.
Afm, I'm a little bored at the moment if truth be told. I'm going swimming every day and getting through the household chores but all my friends are at work. I have tried phoning a local bumps and babies group but no one has got back to me, I may try ringing again later, just don't want to seem too desperate. No antenatal classes available for me either, feeling a little bit lost. Can't you tell I'm feeling sorry for myself today!0
