I have no idea how old the car seat is. .but.. it is not recommended you use a seat older than 5 years regardless of how much wear it has had. The safety requirements change and the natural fibres degrade and metal parts erode which may render them dangerous and not safe in the event of an accident.
Hmmm, I think that has made my mind up. I have our Quatro travel system from the other 2 but it's 8 years old now (was second hand on ebay). We have everything but the back wheels of the pushchair have decided to shred and replacement wheels just seem non-exsistant so we were looking at a new set. But this has reaffirmed that we need a new one
Thanks PPWhat's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
Congratulations new mummies!
Can't believe I am 12 on the list, I remember only yesterday being in the 50s!
Feeling super grumpy and ready to get baby outta here now to be honest - very uncomfortable with back and SPD issues. Waiting to find out what my consultant suggest on Monday!
xx
Was just wondering how you were getting on 2ba3c..... so I came to stalk you, cant belive you have less than 2 weeks to go!!If at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
Hi All,
Can't believe I'm no.15 on the list!starting to get slightly nervous now!
37 weeks on Thursday and still feeling really good (sorry to those that are feeling blurgh) not sleeping brilliantly at night and head is engaged so slightly uncomfy but all good apart from that.
Has anyone been drinking raspberry leaf tea? Although I hate normal tea I seem to be very obsessed at the moment with it! I've been having two cups a day but just wondered if anyone takes the capsules as well as the tea?
Got a fab £19 high chair in the Aldi baby event last week and managed to get a good baby monitor from Morrisons today. It's a Kiddicare comfort hush that was only £14! Online it's £25 and has good reviews. We only wanted a basic one so hopefully this will do a good job.
Good luck to those who are due in the next few days!

Yuk !!! I remember drinking raspberry tea last time I was pregnant, never again would I do that!! Plus I also got told the tea don't do ne thing it's the capsules which work I started drinking it at about 38 weeks everyday and I was two weeks late lol.
Only 18 more days till my 36 week scan, solo looking forward to that!!0 -

It's only 2 1/2 years old as we bought it new for DS. I've had a poke around it and can't see any obvious defects, so I'm happy that it'll do for this baby.
Hope your baby stays put for a while longer dizziblonde. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Hello Ladies,
I've got my c section booked for 4th April, can someone alter the list, I don't know how to. My BP is on the up and having to be checked 3 times a week. Scary as they have said if it continues to climb baby will be here earlier due to past history of pre eclampsia. Also had to start on insulin last week due to gestational diabetes, at least it's only for a few weeks.
Was it choronola that suffered from HG? I suffered from week 5 to about 20 ish weeks and was still a bit sick, but the past week it's been creeping back again:( was up at 1.15 am being I'll and every morning again and generally feeling sick all day. Consultant said its not uncommon for it to cOme back in last few weeks due to increased hormones. Bleaugh,

Good afternoon everyone. Beautiful day here, I'm just too tired to enjoy it. I've had a bit of an upset stomach and it's wiped me out!
QueenB, good luck when things do start to happen.
Mrshaworth2b, hope you feel better very soon.
dizziblonde, I'm sure everything is fine. At least they are keeping an eye on you.
I've heard of raspberry leaf tea but not sure what it's supposed to do. (Will now go and google).
OH is away this week and much as it means I can get on with the housework (fridge freezer looking very clean after this mornings efforts!) I do miss him just being around and he makes a lovely cup of tea :-)
Cant believe I've now gone to 28 on the list. I just have visions of this baby 'appearing', i keep forgetting I've actually got to go through labour! OH keeps saying lovely things like that he can't wait to meet her'.
Love to all. I hope everyone is keeping well. X0 -

Hello everyone! Hope you are all well
Yes missty25 I am the sicky oneSadly still am! I am still on medication - down to one tablet in the morning. I have continued to be sick up to 5 times every morning but in the last couple of days it has spread throughout the day again. I also have days when I feel sick all day again and that had eased off too. I am 34 + 3 today, and my MW has told me the same. It returned with a vengeance with my eldest DS towards the end and I was actually sick for 5 days after having him  So fingers crossed that will not happen to us! I went away with DH at the weekend and we went out for a meal in the evening. As soon as I stepped outside I threw the entire meal up (TMI) and I haven't been sick in the evenings for ages. I was so annoyed it was such a waste of money :rotfl: !! But I think the increasing hormones plus the space baby is taking up, can make you feel dreadful again
I have my fingers crossed for you (and me!) that if it does return, it is manageable
claretsgirl and abbybryan - Yuk to the raspberry leaf tea but I have taken the capsules from around 34 weeks with my last 2 and this baby. It is meant to help second stage labor be quicker, but is not likely to bring on labor I don't think? I had my daughter in under 2 hours and my son in just under one (think it was actually 33 minutes established labor?) - so have no idea if its coincidence or they did help! Both over 9 and a half pound and son was out in one push (only gas and air) - MW nearly didn't catch him. Not sure if I agree with the less painful bit, which its supposed to help with - I basically have one long contraction and can't speak from the time I go into labor, but they are certainly short! I figure it can't help taking them - anything to get it over and done with! I do remain mobile through the entire labor (even when induced) so that could also help.
Saw MW today - Still measuring over by 6cm but that is about right with regards to my previous babies, so they are not too concerned. They have opened a local midwifery led unit in the hospital I will be going to and she is going to see if I can go there. But needs to check because I am high risk. Would be nice for my last one
Hope you are feeling better mrsashworth2b! XXX0 -
Hello all
I can't believe I'm number 6 on the list now!!! I'm fighting my cold everyday, had a tooth out today, took two gos at going to the dentist and I'm petrified of them. But was brave and went by myself today! So just need to live on soup for a couple of days and fight off this cold and then I am ready for the lo.
Got midwife on Thursday and due on monday! Have a feeling I'm going to go over due
Hope everyone else is well, I never thought to take raspberry tea, does it actually work or is it a wives tale?Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0
