lol big5 - i'll be grumbling to DH the whole time if that happens :o

dizzi - hope your LO arrives (safe and healthy!) while your mum is still here then as your MIL sounds a gem! Blaming you for a premature baby!

sorry TMI - but am sat here looking at my belly hairs, theyre not too bad but theres one that im just dying to pull out as it always sticks straight out! Ive been told not to fuss to much with extra hairs though as otherwise they hang around after the babys born too

How much did everyone gain by 6 month mark?

I have put on 28lb (maybe more in the last few days) so far...I dont look huge but my arms and legs looking fairly chubby now...so depressing..i think I need to stop having 2 lunches from now on lol

    Hello all :)

I'm happily plodding along at 15+1 weeks now - due 27th August - and thought I'd check in to say hello. Can't say I've noticed many symptoms - had a week of sickness around new year - but I'm suddenly absolutely fricking huge!!

I think a lot of people don't join this thread until 24 weeks (because they are using the 12-24 week pregnancy thread instead), so the babies won't be listed yet!

Hello everyone, I'll be joining you over here in a week or so (I'm on the 12-24 thread at the moment), but just thought I'd pop my head in today to say hi! :) I'm 22+4 with my first and it's a boy! :)

I have a few belly hairs too! Eeeewww! Some are just very soft and fair, but there are a few dark wiry ones so I plucked them out! :rotfl:

I have put on about 13lbs up to this point - according to one of those weight gain calculators I should have put on between 9 and 15lbs by 22 weeks so I am towards the higher end, but still within range. Since the morning sickness subsided at about 16 weeks my appetite is huge! I need to watch what I'm eating now - don't want to have a struggle to shift the weight after baby arrives.

Anyway, I'll be on here properly in a week or so! :) Looking forward to chatting with you all!

I have my GTT on Monday. Not looking forward to having to down the lucozade, I can't stand the stuff :( It does seem to be a current fad, as I didn't have to have it last time even though I had the same risk factors (BMI, Dad is Type 2 diabetic). MW did mention that DS was quite big and it might have been due to GD, but he was a few ounces below the weight that is apparently a risk factor. Plus he wasn't a fat baby, just quite long - and is still tall now. Takes after his Mum, he does :)

I have no idea how much weight I've put on as I've not been near the scales since I got my BFP (other than at the 12 week scan and I didn't look at what it said that time!). Yes, I'm overweight, but not unhealthily so, so I don't see the point in getting stressed about it. Blissful ignorance works for me :) I eat if I'm hungry and will worry about the weight once the baby is out.

Been suffering with toothache for the last day or so, though it seems to have eased now. I think it's a wisdom tooth which tries having a push every now and then and is painful for a day or so and then gives up. I have a checkup booked in a couple of weeks anyway so will try to get it sorted while I'm getting my dental treatment for free!

    Hope everyone else is OK.

My son has T1 diabetes but they didn't even mention me having GTT.. maybe I declined strongly enough last time lol.. My BMI is not favourable either, but given I have already piled on almost a stone by my booking I ignored it

I think most of us are using the 12 to 24 thread so there are probably only a handful that have joined this thread early. It's a bit scary to join the big thread until after you're past Vday! :rotfl:

hi lovecake - look forward to seeing you on here! And hi newbies :T

everyone seems to be doing quite well with their weight gain, dont know why ive put on so much as dont think im eating masses more - maybe because I never had any morning sickness so have been steadily putting on weight.

Everyone keeps telling me to relax and enjoy eating what I want in pregnancy, but since (touch wood) am planning on baby 2 soon after dont want to start next pregnancy huge already!

I really need to make use of that free dental care as well and go for a scale and polish and check up!
