At my 12 week scan, Giz.

The hospital's scanning equipment at my hospital is apparently so good, they can take a good early guess at the gender.

2 sonographers independently said they were pretty sure it was a girl!

Hello,

I was at midwife getting my BP checked and it was still up and also 2+ protein in urine. So she phoned the triage and they want me to go in today.

Fast forward a couple of hours and I answer a call from the assessment ward. On Monday when I was in they told me my liver and kidney function bloods were ok. However, they have now said that there is a problem with them.

I feel like I'm in limbo. Going back into assessment today to get another Blood pressure profile done, another trace of baby. My midwife took more bloods yesterday do hopefully they will have the results and be able to see if there's been a change since Monday.

Had a bit of a cry to OH before he went to work as its been such a stressful week and it's the fact of not knowing what's going to happen. They told me on Monday if there was any probs with blood I wouldn't be going home and would be admitted but then said theyre ok so can go home. But, now there's a problem and I don't know if I'll end up getting admitted today or not.

Got my happy brave face on now though for DD, have explained that mummy might have to stay in the hospital until baby is here. Got everyone on board for looking after her if it does happen though.

Has anyone else's experienced anything similar, being admitted to hospital with another child to look after? My OH only has 4 days holiday til end of April, so saving these for baby and he will take his 2 weeks paternity leave also.

I know what you mean. But... being charitable for a moment, perhaps things didn't work out for them.
